Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner is apologizing for comments he made about Michelle Obama that were overheard in an airport Wednesday, when the Wisconsin Republican was reportedly heard complaining that "she lectures us on eating right while she has a large posterior herself." Fishbowl DC reported yesterday that an unnamed Democratic operative had heard a "very loud" Sensenbrenner, pictured at left, make the comments while talking on the phone in the Delta Crown lounge at Reagan National Airport. The source claimed the Congressmen was relaying a story about his response to a woman who had praised the first lady at a church...

Navy Times is reporting that besides screwing over retirees in the 2012 Defense budget, Congress approved Fags marrying on base. We were busying arguing over who one the budget battle and our Tea Party Consrvative Congress slip us one in the rear. If this were a war heterosexuals have lost, defeated by our own Quislings in Congress. Every day in the military we are bombarded with gay love stories. How in Gods name did we ever win a war without the butt pirates and carpet munchers. There are no conservatives left in American politics. They give fags whatever they want....

Shame. Shame stinging my face and burning across my ribs. That’s what I felt when I first clicked into marginal Republican presidential candidate Fred Karger’s website Top 10 Craziest Mormon Beliefs. And that’s just what Fred Karger wanted. Karger first took aim at Mormons during and after California’s bitter Proposition 8 campaign. He used the internet to document the extent of LDS involvement in the Yes on 8 campaign, as well as to warn against potential Mormon involvement in other state LGBT equality battles. But his new site has nothing to do with redressing the damage from Proposition 8. It’s...

Leaders of three troops of Girl Scouts quit their posts and disbanded the troops after the organization’s Colorado chapter said it would allow a transgendered 7-year-old to join. The troop leaders, all affiliated with a Christian school in Louisiana, resigned in protest of the Colorado chapter’s decision to allow participation from any child who identifies as a girl, The Christian Post reported. Controversy erupted when Felisha Archuleta tried to enroll her son, Bobby Montoya, who identifies as a girl, in a Girl Scouts troop in Denver. When a local troop leader refused, saying Bobby wasn’t allowed to join because he...

Most Christians take it for granted that they have a copy of Bible, and the question of why the New Testament has twenty-seven books hardly comes to their mind. While it is unlikely that they think those books were simply dropped from heaven, they may not realize the long process, which took place before all books were finally selected. As we will see later among the twenty-seven books, twenty (four Gospels, Acts, thirteen Paul epistle, 1 Peter and 1 John) were accepted as inspired without any problem while the other seven (Hebrews, James, Jude, 2 Peter, 2 & 3 John...

Newsmagazine Just Out is shutting down, according to a note on its website Monday. The publication has served Portland's gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and queer community since 1983. The online notice states simply that "three years of recession have taken their toll." Publisher Marty Davis confirmed the closure in an email to The Oregonian: "Just Out has closed its doors and shut down its computers." She said in a follow-up email that there are no plans to continue online. Local blogger Byron Beck broke the news on his site, linking to an 11 a.m. post on Just Out's Facebook page....

Apparently we'll be referring to Richard Nixon -- the nation's only President to resign in disgrace -- as "Tricky Dick" for another reason. In the newly released biography Nixon's Darkest Secrets veteran Washington reporter Don Fulsom alleges the 37th President who served from 1969 to 1972 "may have had an affair with his best friend and confidant, a Mafia‑connected Florida wheeler-dealer named Charles 'Bebe' Rebozo who was even more crooked than Nixon" as reported by Tom Leonard for the Daily Mail: Bebe Rebozo was a short, swarthy, good-looking Cuban-American businessman with a history of failed relationships with women and close...

Biggest world gay magazine: no compassion and tolerance for a former lesbian and her daughter By Julio Severo The Advocate, the biggest gay magazine in America and, in its own words, “The World’s Leading News Source for LGBT”, has just put its sights on LifeSiteNews and me in its defense of lesbian activist Janet Jenkins. The Advocate: Mockery of Christ The mission of The Advocate, as its name implies, is to advocate — for the gay agenda and its militants. Jenkins wants the daughter of her former lesbian partner Lisa Miller, who renounced homosexuality for Jesus. Regardless of the well-being...

In the eight years since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that states may not criminalize private homosexual conduct, courts and legislatures across the country have struggled to define gay rights. The debate changed for both sides after a watershed 2003 Supreme Court ruling in a case that originated in Houston. The court voted 6-3 to guarantee privacy rights for gay men and lesbians - reversing a 1986 decision that permitted states to outlaw homosexual acts, even in homes. The Houston man at the center of the groundbreaking decision died last month of a heart condition. John Geddes Lawrence was 68....

The USA’s first openly gay Episcopal bishop, Gene Robinson, has responded to presidential hopeful Rick Perry's anti-gay TV promotion suggesting that "it must break God's heart to see religion used in a political campaign like this." Bishop Robinson of the Episcopal Church showed his distaste in a TV interview with MSNBC and also by writing an opinion piece in the Washington Post newspaper. Perry had stated in his commercial that “You don’t need to be in the pew every Sunday to know there’s something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can’t...

A slip caused by excessive oratory impetus? Or polemical bitterness, born of a well thought out communication strategy? What is certain is that the statement made on Sunday by Cardinal Francis George, Archbishop of Chicago, has not gone unnoticed. The Bishop pronounced the “offensive” phrase, one that is brewing up a real storm, before the cameras of Fox TV: “Some of the events held by the gay movement, with their intolerance of the Catholic Church, come close to resembling those of the Ku Klux Klan, which were characterized by the same hatred towards Catholicism.” The Cardinal was commenting on the...

Catholic Charities in Illinois has served for more than 40 years as a major link in the state’s social service network for poor and neglected children. But now most of the Catholic Charities affiliates in Illinois are closing down rather than comply with a new requirement that says they can no longer receive state money if they turn away same-sex couples as potential foster care and adoptive parents. For the nation’s Roman Catholic bishops, the outcome is a prime example of what they see as an escalating campaign by the government to trample on their religious freedom while expanding the...

A coalition of over 150 Orthodox rabbis, respected mental health professionals, community leaders, and others from across America and several foreign countries have released a statement that strongly refutes and repudiates the liberal Jewish political correctness and misinformation regarding homosexuality. The document, entitled "Declaration on the Torah Approach to Homosexuality,"clarifies the timeless theological understanding of the Biblically mandated prohibition. That position is that no one is "born gay" — and that same-sex attractions can be modified and healed. The document's list of signers includes well-known figures in the mental health field as well as a pantheon of major figures in...

As the merry-go-round of the GOP primary continues, the present darling of fickle voters is Newt Gingrich, Like a phoenix he’s risen from the ashes to claim, with typical humility, “I’m going to be the nominee,” dismissing all other candidates as a trifling irrelevancy. Unfortunately the belated choice of Gingrich is no choice at all, for there can be little doubt how the questionably conservative and enormously polarizing Gingrich would fare against a personally popular Obama in the General Election. There is, at present only one real choice to make regarding the next president. It’s either Romney or Obama. A...

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul said Thursday evening that Bush administration officials were gleeful after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks because it gave them a pretext to invade Iraq. "Just think of what happened after 9/11. Immediately before there was any assessment there was glee in the administration because now we can invade Iraq," the Texas Republican told a group of mostly young backers in Iowa. He went on to suggest officials are now setting the stage for an invasion of Iran. Paul, who was tied for second in this week's CBS News/New York Times poll of likely Iowa caucus-goers,...

OK, this is not a flame thread. I'm genuinely curious why conservatives think Communism is so evil. I am a Communist. I am also a God-fearing Christian, a tax-paying and loyal American, and a generally nice guy. Communism was perverted by third world despots and was never implemented fully in its true form. Communism is about cooperation and good will. And it's important to note that economic success and cooperation are not mutally exclusive. In fact, I would argue greater cooperation among individuals leads to more prosperity and more overall happiness.

Texas Rep. Ron Paul, long dismissed by the GOP establishment as a fringe candidate, has broadened his electoral appeal and emerged as a major player in the Jan. 3 Iowa caucuses, according to several recent polls and conversations with a handful of longtime Hawkeye political operatives... In a Bloomberg News survey — conducted by renowned Iowa-based pollster Ann Selzer — Paul was in a four-way statistical tie for first along with businessman Herman Cain, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich... And, in a new Iowa State/Gazette/KCRG survey, Paul took 20 percent — behind only Cain...
