<p>LOS ANGELES (AP) - County courts could be shut down for up to eight days over the next three months to help slash an $8.2-million budget deficit, officials said.</p> <p>The move would send many workers home without pay.</p> <p>"This is not something that we want to do," said presiding Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Robert A. Dukes said Thursday.</p>
