<p>Jesika Diaz left her Santa Clara County home to the mercy of a growing wildfire Monday night, carrying a small Cinderella wedding cake topper in her trembling hands as towering flames marched closer.</p>
<p>Diaz lives on Croy Avenue, the scene of a fire west of Morgan Hill that started at 2 p.m. and raged uncontained through the night, burning more than 200 acres of thick brush, oak trees and -- some residents feared -- homes.</p>
