RNS) — A Church of the Nazarene court has found one of its most prominent theologians guilty of affirming and advocating for the inclusion of LGBTQ+ members, contrary to the church’s teachings. After delivering the verdict on Saturday evening (July 28) against the Rev. Thomas Jay Oord of Nampa, Idaho, the court stripped Oord of his preaching credentials and expelled him from membership in the 2.5 million-member global denomination. “We, the members of the Regional Board of Discipline, unanimously find to a moral certainty and beyond a reasonable doubt … that Thomas Jay Oord is guilty of conduct unbecoming a...

In April, I had the privilege of attending Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s signing of first-in-the-nation legislation banning Critical Race Theory in public schools and employee training. Throughout Covid-19 lockdown insanity, Governor DeSantis led the way on evidence-based, commonsense policies in the best interest of Florida citizens. Now, with the signing of HB 7 and other strong and necessary laws, Governor DeSantis is once again demonstrating leadership that should inspire other governors and serve as the model for standing up to the woke agenda. While California Governor Gavin Newsom is requiring a divisive “ethnic” studies program in order for California students...

According to the WSJ, Memoli supports vaccination among the elderly and at-risk, as well as the childhood vaccinations that have been commonplace for decades. However, he takes issue with the widespread use of COVID-19 vaccines for the population at large and that “with existing vaccines, blanket vaccination of people at low risk of severe illness could hamper the development of more-robust immunity gained across a population from infection.” The WSJ notes that Memoli’s views make him an “outlier” in the medical community and at the NIH as well as among federal employees, 88% of whom are currently vaccinated. He has...

Tuesday on CBS’s “The Late Show,” journalist Bob Woodward discussed his book, “Peril,” which details the transition from President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden. According to Woodward, the “one courageous person” in Trump’s circle who did something was Gen. Mark Milley, who reportedly operated behind the president’s back and even told China he would warn them ahead of an attack.

Vice President Kamala Harris gave credit to President Biden for deciding to end the war in Afghanistan, even though members of the administration – including Biden himself – have blamed former President Trump for agreeing to withdraw U.S. troops. As the U.S. has been scrambling to evacuate Americans and allies out of Afghanistan in the aftermath of the Taliban’s takeover of the country, Harris portrayed the situation as the result of correct decision-making by the current administration without mentioning the Taliban’s swift victory.

Still reeling from the left-wing backlash to his recent criticism of “defund the police,” former president Barack Obama (D) appeared on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show on Tuesday where he appeared to strike a conciliatory note by praising the activists behind the movement, calling them courageous and media savvy. But he also doubled down on his criticism of the actual slogan, saying that it can alienate potential Black Lives Matter allies.

This morning the Politico came out swinging at Ted Cruz with the headline “What Ted Cruz said behind closed doors†as if to suggest it would be different from what he says publicly: In June, Ted Cruz promised on NPR that opposition to gay marriage would be "front and center" in his 2016 campaign. In July, he said the Supreme Court's decision allowing same-sex marriage was the "very definition of tyranny" and urged states to ignore the ruling. But in December, behind closed doors at a big-dollar Manhattan fundraiser, the quickly ascending presidential candidate assured a Republican gay-rights supporter that a Cruz...

Press Release Grayson, KY –Mat Staver told press outside the Carter County Detention Center that he spoke with Kim Davis, and she is in good spirits. Kim is very touched by all the support she feels from people literally around the world. Her last words before leaving were, “All is well.†“Despite being held as a prisoner for her religious beliefs, her conscience remains unshackled. We discussed her options going forward. We will challenge Judge Bunning’s contempt order and her unlawful confinement,†Staver said. “Kim is resolute in her decision to challenge the issuance of any marriage certificate bearing her...

Bravo Ted Cruz! A Profile in Courage Today, Ted Cruz got up on the Senate floor during a debate and called out Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell as a liar and clone of his predecessor, the despicable Harry Reid. Senator Cruz did not mince words. He did not lapse into the soft euphemisms and dodgy language that marks so much of the drivel emitted in the hallowed chambers of Congress. He came right out and said that McConnell lied to him when he promised that there were no secret side deals employed to gain passage of the TPA, when of...

CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield called the attack on Dallas Police Headquarters “very courageous and brave” on Saturday’s “CNN Newsroom.” Whitfield, while discussing the shooting with legal analyst Philip Holloway, said, “It was very courageous and brave, if not crazy as well, to open fire on the police headquarters, and now you have this scene, this standoff. So you believe these are the hallmarks of more than one person’s involvement?” Holloway’s smile visibly drooped when Whitfield praised the would-be cop killer. “Well, first off, I will say that the Dallas police department did an excellent job handling this situation, and no...

In a fiery speech to social conservatives Friday, Virginia lieutenant governor candidate E.W. Jackson blasted the media for questioning his positions on social issues. Jackson, a bishop, said that when he first got into the race he was asked by reporters about controversial statements he has made concerning Planned Parenthood (which he once compared to the Ku Klux Klan) and gay marriage. “Well, I want to go on record here,” Jackson said, speaking at the Values Voter Summit. “I didn’t apologize then, I don’t apologize now and I will never apologize for standing up for the truth.”

I’m going to guess that 90% will claim you do, but then do nothing. Sorry, folks, but that’s who we are, and I hope by challenging you, you will prove me wrong. Let me explain: Take a look around you. Are you happy with where our society has gone? Does it bother you to see the amount of violence our society seems to accept as “normal?” Are you uncomfortable seeing children grow up with virtually no concept of right and wrong? Does it trouble you that young adults seem to make up their own rules as they go along, eschewing...
