A medium-intensity solar flare hit the Earth's magnetosphere in the early hours of Monday, Spaceweather.com reported. It is unlikely that a coronal discharge will follow the solar activity, and if it does, whether will head toward Earth. The recent solar flare came from the sunspot AR 3141, which has grown in size in the past 24 hours, EarthSky.org said in its report. The eruption was classified as an M5.2, even where M denotes the class of solar flares and is a medium-intensity eruption. In comparison, classes A, B, and C are low-intensity events, while Class X flares are wildly the...

Hunter Biden's former business partner is ready to testify with thousands of new call recordings, text messages, photos, emails and documents to a congressional probe investigating the First Son – if the Republicans win the House, sources told DailyMail.com. Whistleblower Tony Bobulinski had a front-row seat to the Biden family's deal with their Chinese government-linked business partners, and his explosive trove could expose alleged criminal activity by the First Family. A source close to the congressional investigations shared some of Bobulinski's unseen cache of documents exclusively with DailyMail.com. Bobulinski's evidence includes audio recordings of phone calls and meetings between partners...

Elon Musk, with the Twitter acquisition, is now the subject of much attention by the general public. Elon is not shy about saying whatever he wants — and being a computer-nerd genius with more money than King Charles III and his late mom, he is sometimes a little obscure. Like today: pic.twitter.com/4UQlClBSct— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) November 5, 2022This one was puzzling enough that the editors asked me for a translation. “Version control” is the way software developers keep track of changes in order to make sure you know what’s changed in case you f—— something up. Your version control is...

Elon Musk announced that “the bird is freed” when his US$44 billion acquisition of Twitter officially closed on Oct. 27, 2022. Some users on the microblogging platform saw this as a reason to fly away. Over the course of the next 48 hours, I saw countless announcements on my Twitter feed from people either leaving the platform or making preparations to leave. The hashtags #GoodbyeTwitter, #TwitterMigration and #Mastodon were trending. The decentralized, open source social network Mastodon gained over 100,000 users in just a few days, according to a user counting bot. As an information scientist who studies online communities,...

What's your favorite ice cream flavor? You might say vanilla or chocolate, and if I asked why, you’d probably say it’s because it tastes good. But why does it taste good, and why do you still want to try other flavors sometimes? Rarely do we ever question the basic decisions we make in our everyday lives, but if we did, we might realize that we can’t pinpoint the exact reasons for our preferences, emotions, and desires at any given moment. There's a similar problem in artificial intelligence: The people who develop AI are increasingly having problems explaining how it works...

Dorsey may not be a lightning rod for controversy like Musk, Jeff Bezos or Bill Gates, or be perceived as socially awkward like Mark Zuckerberg, but it’s a mistake to think he’s any less Machiavellian or megalomaniacal than the rest of them, several sources who know Dorsey told The Post. “He was at one point the lowest person in the room at Twitter and then, because he wanted to be the most important person in the room, he was — and he ended up being CEO,” said author Nick Bilton, who spent time with Dorsey for “Hatching Twitter: A True...

Layoffs appear to cover a wide range of departments, with those in engineering, human resources, policy, content moderation, and more chiming in about their new unemployed status. MANY TWEETS AT LINK..................... On Friday, now-former Twitter employees took to the social media platform to document their firing as new owner Elon Musk clears house. Employees wrote of their job status in the hashtags "Love Where You Worked" and "One Team," calling it "dehumanizing," and calling out Elon Musk for the action. Others vowed to take legal action against the social media company for being laid off. Some former Twitter employees and...

NPR listeners heard a baby being killed in an abortion as the mother moaned and cried during a morning news report Thursday. The shocking audio came from an abortion facility in Michigan where an NPR journalist watched an abortionist perform an 11-week abortion. NPR is a taxpayer-funded news organization. “I almost didn’t want to tweet this but it’s something everyone needs to know,” XStrategies’ Greg Price wrote, sharing a 2-minute segment of the report on Twitter. “NPR on the radio this morning played audio of a woman getting an abortion. You can hear the vacuum turning on, crying, moaning, and...

The abortion lobby manipulates anything and everything to fit their narrative, but they went too far recently when California pro-abortion Democrats used my face to further their radical abortion agenda — and I’m working to put a stop to it. Last week, Hillary Clinton and California Governor Gavin Newsom posted a video on their Twitter accounts in support of Proposition 1, paid for by the California Democratic Party. The video begins by stating, “We are mad, sad, and scared” about the United States Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, and there is a clip of me sobbing in front of...

On Oct. 12, Melike Gün Kanavuzlar was on the fourth floor of a building in Ortaca, a city in southwestern Turkey about 115 miles from the scenic resort town of Bodrum, when she tried to recover the device. She lost her footing and plummeted four stories to the pavement below, Cumhiryet reported. The local newspaper said the young girl had been taking a selfie before she slipped.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is facing mockery for her criticism of a new plan for Twitter’s subscription service. The Congresswoman voiced her disapproval of the idea Twitter users paying for a monthly fee for added features. “Lmao at a billionaire earnestly trying to sell people on the idea that ‘free speech’ is actually a $8/mo subscription plan,” she wrote Tuesday night. Her tweet comes after Twitter owner Elon Musk shared his plan to raise the cost of the platform’s subscription service Twitter Blue to $8 per month. -snip People would still be about to use Twitter if they did not...

Estimates of projected weather in Ukraine show Europe might experience a mild winter, potentially throwing a wrench in Russian President Vladimir Putin's plans to use Ukraine's harsh winters to his benefit. Two weeks ago, a Russian politician suggested on state TV that the Kremlin should target Ukraine's energy supply, causing civilians to freeze and starve. Throughout October, Russia has increased its attacks on civilian infrastructure, targeting the electrical grid and plummeting parts of Ukraine into darkness and leaving some residents without a water supply. However, as winter approaches, new reports show Russia's plans to use cold weather to its advantage...

RE: TRUTH COPS: Leaked Documents Outline DHS’s Plans to Police DisinformationI reckon they're trying to set up a system where they can go after the domain names of websites. So for example they could seize "FreeRepublic.com" or "Infowars.com" (as an example). DOJ already do this in criminal and some civil matters I believe (like copyright infringements) and I reckon they want to expand this more widely. It's a nightmare scenario for owners of these domains and websites because it will knock you off-line. I've thought about it and think this is the only way to truly take someone down because...

On advice of someone here, I had been using nitter.net as a proxy for Twitter. It was a great site which essentially mirrored twitter content, except in reverse tone (black background). It was a great site for reading Twitter content without requiring a Twitter account. It suddenly stopped working last Friday after the takeover. Did others experience the same? Thanks.

Rhian Moore, 44, said the devastating news left her feeling faint and sickWhen Rhian Moore was told she had cancer she said she felt like a failure. She was also overcome with a sense of deep frustration that her own body had brought her busy work and social life grinding to a halt. Her devastating diagnosis came in 2019 after she noticed changes to a mole on her back. To be on the safe side she visited her GP in Pencoed, Bridgend, to rule out anything sinister. "I showed my GP my mole and he just went white and...
