With the entrance of former Vice President Joe Biden into the 2020 Democratic presidential contest on Thursday, the field is largely set, with all the big names included. The sprawling Democratic field features candidates ranging from 37 to 77 years old; liberals and moderates; senators, governors and mayors; and an unprecedented number of women and minorities. Democrats view the upcoming election as a must-win, and they’re looking to nominate someone who is their best hope to beat President Donald Trump. Here are the 20 candidates:

If you deny that there is liberal bias in the mainstream media, you are living under a rock. In 2008, it was Journolist. We saw George Stephanopolos take marching orders into debate questioning. Here are some good questions for the President. The only thing they don’t ask Republican candidates about much is economic questions and debt questions. Instead they ask horribly slanted, often irrelevant questions designed to make them look bad and help Obama. We’ve heard questions about contraceptives, religion, Newt’s angry ex-wife, Cain’s employees, Romney’s personal wealth, Gardasil, etc. Newt’s rise was because of the way he attacked the...
  • Petitions stolen from Recall Dave Hansen (D) office?

Allegedly, the burglars were after the petitions gathered to recall Dave Hansen, who was one of the Wisconsin Democratic senators who fled the state rather than participate in the democratic process. Which - if this was in fact done by Democratic party operatives or sympathizers - would merely demonstrate that Hansen is in fact fairly representative of his party, at that. The good news is that the recall folks say that they still have enough signatures, so it should have no insurmountable effect on the recall process, but you can expect that local Democrats will try to wring as much...

Patrick Kennedy Will Not Run for Senate By LOLITA C. BALDOR, Associated Press Writer WASHINGTON - Rep. Patrick Kennedy (news, bio, voting record), D-R.I., on Wednesday ruled out a run for the Senate in 2006, saying he could better serve his constituents by staying in the House and serving on the Appropriations Committee. Kennedy has been in Boston caring for his mother, Joan Kennedy, who was hospitalized with a concussion and a broken shoulder after a passer-by found her lying in a street Tuesday. In a statement, Kennedy did not cite family responsibilities as a reason for his decision, but...

WASHINGTON -- U.S. Rep. James Langevin has decided not to run for U.S. Senate against incumbent Republican Sen. Lincoln Chafee, Rhode Island Democratic sources said today. Langevin, D-R.I., had been considering challenging Chafee, and has said he would make up his mind by April 1. But Democratic sources, who did not want to be named because Langevin has not made his decision public, said the two-term House member has decided against a Senate race. "Congressman Langevin will have an announcement within the next 48 hours regarding the 2006 campaign," said his spokesman Michael Guilfoyle. Rep. Patrick Kennedy, D-R.I., also has...
