For over half a year, FReepers from the DC Chapter and beyond have countered Code Pinkos at their weekly obscene anti-war blood dance outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Despite the heavy concentration of liberals and leftist activists in the DC area, we've outnumbered the Pinkos at least 17 or 18 of these 26 FReeps at Walter Reed and we outnumbered them again on Friday, Oct. 14. This night featured some inspiring discussions from veterans, the first car crash in front of us, a Veterans for Peace bus repeatedly driving around the location and then getting stuck, a TV crew...

Well, at least we know where to find these guys.... From Chicago Indymedia. The Activist Student Union (ASU) of DePaul University is calling for all people concerned with defending Ward Churchill's views and with defending academic freedom, to rally at DePaul. Churchill was invited by DePaul's Cultural Center and the ASU to speak because of his political views and his history of standing up and fighting for human rights and dignity. Were it not for right-wing attacks that have included threatening letters to the staff at the Cultural Center and a letter from the Governor of Colorado urging DePaul to cancel...

October 17, 2005 Dear XXXXXXX, Almost 2000 American soldiers killed and over 25,000 wounded. More than 100,000 dead and wounded Iraqi civilians. $200 billion wasted. When does it stop? How many more US soldiers and innocent Iraqis must give their lives before our government admits the war was a mistake and that it’s time to bring our troops home? U.S. soldiers are at grave risk in Iraq, and continue to suffer even after they come home. Troops returning to the U.S. are suffering post-traumatic stress disorder, and are even turning up in homeless shelters in cities all over the country....

<p>WASHINGTON, DC 10/7/05— Neither rain nor dark of night nor suffocating humidity nor high winds nor slippery mud beneath their feet shall stay these FReepers from their appointed rounds. Not the umbrella of the FReeper next to you ducking under your umbrella to dump a heavy stream on your shoulders, nor your FoamCore signboards turning to mush and curling over, nor your fingers turning red and blue from the sign paint wetly streaking.</p>

Sunday, Code Pink held their bi-weekly protest outside of Balboa Naval Hospital. Thanks to San Diego radio host Rick Roberts and the San Diego Protest Warriors, WE SHUT CODE PINK DOWN!We had about 25 flag-waving supporters and occupied Code Pink's favorite corner as well as our own. Code Pink, numbering about 13, was so perplexed that they sat down right in the parking lot and held an emergency conference. (snicker)Their brilliant decesion was to parade around a secluded part of the park, nowhere near us, and then they went home!I believe the phrase "owned" is appropriate.

THE green video screen in the back of a Bradley fighting vehicle is the ultimate in reality television, and that is how we watched the battle of Fallujah unfold as our 30-tonne steel beast advanced into the district of Jolan, the rebels' bastion, in the small hours of yesterday morning. Outside, in the bomb-blasted streets, up to 5,000 die-hard insurgents were out to kill. Inside, on a screen accurate enough to show rats scavenging on the rubbish piles, the battle between luminous green tanks and luminous green gunmen seemed almost abstract. Only the shock of the explosions and the occasional...

Soldier’s Outrage at Anti-War Protests at Army Hospital “. . . I am a reservist out of Dallas, Texas, who is currently deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I also was deployed to Iraq for one year in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I was part of the initial invasion into Iraq. During my first deployment to Iraq, my MP unit was called up. I volunteered for this deployment because I felt I had more to give my country and felt it was the right thing to do. I would like to comment on the article you...

<p>WASHINGTON, DC, September 30, 2005—After twenty-four Friday nights of schlepping the Mother of All Banners, scores of pro-troops signs and dozens of American flags to Georgia Avenue at Elder Street – and don't forget the icewater, soda chests, hot pizzas and lawn chairs – it gets old.</p>

Watch out, Cindy Sheehan may end up on your governor's doorstep By Kevin Fobbs Cindy Sheehan is on another mission and her intent is to literally get America out of Iraq if it kills America and destroys our Homeland Security in the process. Her stated purpose as she begins her rounds around the nation is to take on the nation's governors and browbeat them into submission so that they will pull out their National Guard units one state at a time. Can't you just see the glee in leaders of Al Qaida's eyes as they support her new and improved...

Click the link the title/header and you'll see that there was an Inaugural Ball held for Gena Davis, star of a show ABC claims will be apolitical. Of course, Sutherland has used his new found fame to bash the US and guess what, the star of the show, Gena Davis is breaking bread with Jodie Evans, a leader of Code PINK, the horrible anti-American folks holding anti-war protests every week at Walter Reed Army Hospital in DC on Friday evenings and at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego on Sunday afternoons. Here's an excerpt from that announcement: INAUGURAL BALLwith GEENA...

Go to http://dc.indymedia.org/newswire/display/130519/index.php and download the interview. One of Code PINK's leaders, Jodie Evans, complains about how long it took to process all the people arrested with Cindy Sheehan at the White House. Then she admits that she TOOK OFF when she was released at midnight rather than observe "Jail Solidarity" with the people the march leaders asked to participate. In the extremist world of far-left protest there are sacraments and rituals. Jail Solidarity is High Mass for them and Jodie disrespected all those who showed support when getting arrested, but she didn't support them. She took off for her...

This is a quick post to provide an after action report for the DC Chapter Freep of Code Pink at Walter Reed. It was a night to remember and I did not want to keep everyone waiting. There will be a full report with all pictures later on in the week.It was a normal but cooler night as everyone arrived for another evening of countering Code Pink. Down the street came the sound of a single motorcycle. The Rolling Thunder scout arrived to announce the news of more bikes to follow. The first scout went accross the street to talk...

ANTI-MILITARY WHACKOS COMING TO SAN DIEGO MILITARY HOSPITALS! CODE PINKOS YELL AT INJURED MILITARY AND GRIEVING FAMILIES AT WALTER REED AND BALBOA NAVAL HOSPITAL DON'T LET THIS STAND! CodePink is at it again. For the past several months, this radical anti-everything group has been disgracing itself by holding weekly demonstrations outside Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. – in full view of wounded soldiers going out to dinner with their families on Friday evenings. They've been effectively countered by the diligent efforts of groups like Free Republic and Protest Warrior, who have set up their own demonstration of support...

I attended the Code Pink protest and FreeRepublic counter-protest at Walter Reed Army Medical Center last Friday night. As usual, the "peace loving" Code Pink folks were anything but. Shortly after arriving, I noticed they were harrasing a couple that was there to also document the event on video.
