A Peotone man, accused of tossing a cocker spaniel puppy into his yard for his dogs to maul, has been indicted on three felony charges. Marc A. Czernik, 40, is accused of killing a 6-month-old cocker spaniel puppy named Lucky. The puppy belonged to another Peotone family. A Will County grand jury handed up the indictment this week, adding a third charge of criminal damage to property to the initial charges of aggravated cruelty and attempted theft.
