The U.S. Navy has identified the two-person crew killed Friday when a training aircraft crashed in a small town outside Mobile, Alabama. In a news release Sunday, the Navy identified the victims as Navy Lt. Rhiannon Ross, 30, from Wixom, Michigan, and 24-year-old US Coast Guard Ensign Morgan Garrett of Weddington, North Carolina. Video shows crew members from the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Kimball taking a swim break in the Pacific ocean, when a 6- to 8-foot shark crashed the party. Crew members swam to safety as shots were fired into the water to scare the shark away. Officials said it looked like a scene “out of a Hollywood movie.”

This is a wild video… Apparently a group of U.S. Coast Guard crew members from the USCGC Kimball were having a little swim time while deployed in Oceania when a shark crashed the party. Luckily for them, however, someone was standing shark watch and fired shots just as the shark surfaced and swam towards the swimmers. Luckily for the shark too, they were just warning shots that caused the 6’8” fish to retreat before returning some time later with more of his buddies.
