It must be really hard to have to report a story that flies in the face of CNN’s hype over climate change. CNN published a Jan. 7 story headlined “Glacier National Park is replacing signs that predicted its glaciers would be gone by 2020,” and admitted that “[i]n 2017, the park was told by the agency [U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)] that the complete melting off of the glaciers was no longer expected to take place so quickly due to changes in the forecast model.” The signs were put up over a decade ago, according to CNN.

The head of the largest U.S. energy industry group on Tuesday warned that Americans risk choosing the “wrong path” in the 2020 presidential election if they vote for a candidate seeking to fight climate change by banning drilling. The chief executive of the American Petroleum Institute said such proposals from Democratic candidates seeking to unseat Republican President Donald Trump pose a threat to the economy, and urged a room filled with nearly 800 energy executives to push back against them. The industry group also announced a multi-million dollar advertising campaign, focused on U.S. political swing states, that bills the oil...

Officials have begun the process of changing out signs in Glacier National Park in Montana declaring that the glacier would be gone by 2020. Gina Kurzmen, a spokeswoman for the park, said the signs were added more than 10 years ago to reflect the effects of climate change forecasts at the time. They change will more accurately reflect the fate of the glaciers now, she added. The new signs will reportedly read, “When they will completely disappear depends on how and when we act. One thing is consistent: the glaciers in the park are shrinking.” Kurzman said park officials were...
  • Progressive Eco-Group Admits It: Renewable Energy is a Hoax that Benefits its Greenie Elmer Gantries like Al Gore

Independent physicist John Droz, Jr. alerted me to the website of Deep Green Resistance (DGR), an international environmental organization that calls for the total destruction of what it refers to as the “global industrial economy,” a.k.a. capitalism. Given the group’s hard-left credentials, its call for dismantling capitalism throughout the world is not surprising. What is surprising is that in an unusual show of progressive candor, Deep Green Resistance openly acknowledges what skeptical scientists have been saying for more than two decades: that renewable energy is a government-backed hoax that enriches big corporations -- and green energy investors like Al Gore...

House Democrats outlined their vision for sweeping climate legislation Wednesday, offering a first look at a bill that would push the U.S. to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. Wednesday’s white paper provides the framework that lawmakers in July promised to deliver by early 2020 – a broad climate bill targeting every major sector of the economy. “We’re treating this climate crisis like the emergency that it is,” House Energy and Commerce Chair Frank Pallone (D-N.J.) said of the so-called CLEAN Future Act. The measure includes a requirement that utilities work toward 100 percent carbon-free electricity by 2050, a mandate...
  • Bloomberg sees California as model on climate change, guns

Mike Bloomberg's plan for California - export it. The Democratic presidential candidate and former New York City mayor likes a lot of what he sees in the Golden State and thinks its efforts on climate change, gun control and criminal justice reform seta benchmark for other states to emulate. “I think that California can serve as a great example for the rest of this country," Bloomberg told supporters at the opening of his Los Angeles campaign office. Yes, there are problems, including homelessness, struggling public schools and scarce, costly housing. But California “is something the rest of the country looks...

Someone has said “ignorance is not only not knowing something, but also ‘knowing’ something to be true that isn’t.” What I’m about to tell you is just such a thing. Some time ago, the Albuquerque Journal quoted a long-time resident who claimed to be an expert on “record Albuquerque temperatures” to say, “record-high Albuquerque temperatures are more common in recent years.” The data show this is not true, although widely believed. I have become increasingly disturbed by non-scientists and some scientists quoting scientific results incorrectly. The data below [omitted from this excerpt] come from the Albuquerque National Weather Service [NWS}...
  • We’re Getting a Clearer Picture of the Climate Future — and It’s Not as Bad as It Once Looked

For once, the climate news might be better than you thought. It’s certainly better than I’ve thought. You may not have noticed it, amid the flood of bad news about the “Emissions Gap” and the collapse of the COP25 climate conference in Madrid, but over the last few weeks a new narrative about the climate future has emerged, on balance encouraging, at least to an alarmist like me. It is this: As best as we can understand and project the medium- and long-term trajectories of energy use and emissions, the window of possible climate futures is probably narrowing, with both...

They’ve glued themselves to trains, blockaded major bridges, and chained themselves to government buildings. They’ve launched street protests that brought parts of London and New York and Sydney to a standstill. And they’ve purposely gotten arrested - thousands of them - all in the name of saving our climate. Extinction Rebellion, or XR for short, is the movement behind some of the boldest climate protests of the year. It burst onto the scene in the UK in 2018, demanding that the British government achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2025. Greta Thunberg rallied behind it, and soon, thousands of activists...

Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg on Friday unveiled a broad plan to eliminate all coal power plants and slow the expansion of the natural gas sector as part of a policy to fight climate change that he says would cut carbon emissions across the U.S. economy by 50% over the first 10 years. The New York billionaire, who has devoted significant time and money toward fighting climate change in recent years, said the new plan is the first of several that would ultimately move the nation toward phasing out fossil fuels completely “as soon as humanly possible” — ideally before...

Democrat presidential candidate and billionaire Tom Steyer once again vowed to declare a state of emergency over the climate “crisis” America faces during the sixth Democrat presidential debate at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. “I am hoping, that we, in fact, that we will do what I am suggesting that we do, which is declare a state of emergency on day one of my presidency,” Steyer said in regards to the relocation of families under certain living conditions in America.

Thursday’s Democratic debate hosted by PBS and Politico was a rather dull affair, but one question regarding climate change from Politico chief political correspondent Tim Alberta stood out as particularly nutty by any reasonable standard. In back-to-back questions, he presses candidates on their plans to pick up and relocate the entire population of certain cities. Setting up the debate’s shift to climate alarmism, Alberta prefaced by noting that “many scientists say that even if the U.S. reduced its carbon footprint to zero by the year 2050, the damage will have been done, the climate change will have made certain places...

NEW YORK - Conservative youth leaders in the United States launched a nationwide campaign on Wednesday to promote a carbon tax to combat global warming, defying the Republican Party and opposition to climate measures by President Donald Trump. Drawn from Republican groups on more than two dozen university campuses, the Young Conservatives for Carbon Dividends called for laws to tax oil, natural gas and coal producers of planet-warming greenhouse gases. The taxation plan would make fossil fuels more costly while the resulting revenues would go to taxpayers. “We claim to be the party that cares about the future that our...

MADRID (AP) - United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres warned Thursday that failure to tackle climate change could result in economic disaster that would allow only the “survival of the richest.” Guterres urged officials from almost 200 countries at the annual U.N. climate meeting in Madrid to embrace the economic opportunities that come with cutting greenhouse gases rather than focus on the risks to existing industries dependent on fossil fuels. “For too long, vested interests have peddled the false story that economic growth and tackling climate change are incompatible,” the U.N. chief said. “This is nonsense.” “In fact, failing to tackle...

A popular international relations professor at the University of Copenhagen says that unless the world takes more unified action to fight climate change, we may need an armed intervention. Yes, Ole Wæver is suggesting that if we don’t get in line with the climate change hysteria the media is pushing, armed invasions may be the only solution. “At some point this whole climate debate is going to tip over,” he tells RN’s Late Night Live. “The current way we talk about climate is one side and the other side. One side is those who want to do something, and the...

On New Day Saturday, CNN weekend anchor Christi Paul and fill-in co-host Martin Savidge gave a forum to Dr. Inger Anderson of the UN Environment Program to give an alarmist view of the world climate's future as she predicted that global warming caused by humans would lead to catastrophic consequences in the form of increased natural disasters. At 6:25 a.m. Eastern, Savidge recalled that millions of climate activists are protesting around the world in the leadup to a Monday climate conference in Madrid. He soon noted the UN report claiming that there is currently a "climate crisis" that is approaching...
