It must be really hard to have to report a story that flies in the face of CNNs hype over climate change. CNN published a Jan. 7 story headlined Glacier National Park is replacing signs that predicted its glaciers would be gone by 2020, and admitted that [i]n 2017, the park was told by the agency [U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)] that the complete melting off of the glaciers was no longer expected to take place so quickly due to changes in the forecast model. The signs were put up over a decade ago, according to CNN.

Shouldn’t they just close due to danger of rapid flooding?
Guess this writer never heard the old adage that “a picture is worth a thousand words”. Or maybe he’s getting paid by the word.
New sign...
“Quick! Move to higher ground! Sea Levels are rising!”
“Settled science” says:
When you f&^% up, double down!
“complete melting off of the glaciers was no longer expected to take place so quickly due to changes in the forecast model.
It’s nice to have a theory that can never be wrong. All you have to do is change the model whenever it conflicts with reality. Why didn’t I think of that?
Poor children Poor Greta. Being led by the Pied Pipers of doom and gloom.
Those signs should be protected in place as national historic landmarks.
They should auction these off. If I was still working i would put one on my wall so every time the idiot rat I worked with would have to look at it every time he walked by.
I did a little research, and it seems the glaciers are GROWING.. So.. Take THAT Greta you alarmist little twit!
You do have to give them credit for sticking it out until the bitter end. Surprised they just didn’t cover up the “2” by taping a “3” over it.

That sign makes me very, very angry. It presents a fine example of what happens when fools genuflect, en-masse, in the church of popular pseudo-science.
And the snows still grace Kilimanjaro...and polar bears are thriving...and, living right on the coast, I can testify the sea level isn’t going up.
Theses freaks think the situation has changed because the models changed. Not because reality has not changed. Lol.

Well said, Edwin, and thanks Carriage. In lots of cases I really dont think its bias or dishonesty, just that news organizations hire nitwits for writing and editing. Since the article accurately describes the sign, theres no reason to not show it to us, and OF COURSE a decently prepared article would include it.
It was called “dry-labbing” back in college.
