Irish police issued a traffic hazard alert warning motorists to be beware of chickens crossing the road. Drivers were asked to use "extreme caution" near Ballinagh, County Cavan in the north Midlands after a truck carrying 6,500 chickens overturned and shed its load. AA Roadwatch also warned rush-hour traffic in the area to be extra vigilant because of chickens flying loose.
