Blue states, some of which had the most restrictive requirements in the country throughout the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, are experiencing massive surges of the virus as the holiday season arrives, prompting some to reimplement mitigation strategies and keep others in place. Michigan is reporting one of the biggest surges in the nation, experiencing a daily average of 8,457 cases, or 85 per 100,000, according to the New York Times‘ tracker. That reflects an 88 percent increase in cases in the last 14 days alone. This week, the federal government agreed to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s (D) request to send “two medical...

President Biden said Friday that he delayed implementation of a new ban on travel from southern Africa on the advice of his medical advisers, who are led by Dr. Anthony Fauci. A reporter asked Biden why the emergency precaution will take effect Monday, rather than immediately to contain the potentially more contagious Omicron version of COVID-19. “Why not do it now like other countries have done?” the journalist asked Biden, who is spending a long Thanksgiving weekend in Nantucket. Biden said “because that was the recommendation coming from my medical team.” Fauci is Biden’s chief medical adviser and led a...

UPDATE:After he initially made it sound like he would be riding out a painful election loss at home with his family on Tuesday night, Democrat gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe's campaign suddenly announced he was en route to his campaign's Election Night party to deliver remarks some 90 minutes after the race was called by Decision Desk and Townhall. "We've still got a lot of votes to count because every single Virginian deserves to have their vote counted," a defiant Terry McAuliffe said claiming he's been holding seven to ten events per day for the last 328 days. Omitted from his...

McAuliffe cancels event in Virginia Beach, Youngkin set to hold event in Virginia Beach tonight

After weeks of being locked in too-close-to call polling in the race for governor of Virginia, Republican Glenn Youngkin has now taken a healthy lead over Democrat and former Gov. Terry McAuliffe in the latest surveys. Because of the surge toward Youngkin, there are now signs he might win by a big enough margin to elect his two statewide ticketmates and help Republicans pick up the six seats they need to take control of the state House of Delegates. A Fox News poll released Thursday, showing first-time candidate Youngkin leading McAuliffe by 53% to 45%, sent a jolt throughout the...

The Washington Times reported on Monday, that the Democrats are suing the USPS. The Democratic Party of Virginia has filed a lawsuit alleging that local branches of the U.S. Postal Service failed to process and deliver election-related material ahead of the gubernatorial election between Democrat Terry McAuliffe and Republican Glenn Youngkin. The lawsuit, filed Friday, contends that more than 300,000 Virginians are likely to attempt to cast their ballots by mail this cycle, but USPS did not deliver the requested ballots promptly and therefore is threatening to disenfranchise thousands of Virginia voters. “Thousands of absentee ballots currently sit at postal...

Republican Glenn Youngkin now holds a clear lead over Democrat Terry McAuliffe in the Virginia gubernatorial race with five days to go before Election Day, according to a just-released poll. The Fox News survey showed Youngkin leading McAuliffe by eight percentage points (53-45) among likely voters, with just 2 percent supporting other candidates or undecided. That represents a dramatic turnaround from just two weeks ago, when the same poll showed McAuliffe with 51 percent support among likely voters, 46 percent supporting Youngkin and 3 percent undecided or supporting other candidates. Youngkin also leads McAuliffe by a single percentage point (48-47)...

Gov. Gavin Newsom’s signature Monday on Assembly Bill 37 makes California the eighth state in the nation with a law on the books requiring every voter to be mailed a ballot. The law takes effect in January and will require ballots to be mailed to all voters for statewide elections in June and November. AB 37 also applies to local elections, potentially improving turnout in community contests but also increasing costs, given that vote-by-mail ballots are provided with prepaid postage.

Conservative talk radio host Larry Elder told supporters to be “gracious in defeat” as he conceded the results of the recall election on Tuesday night, which Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) won in a landslide, crushing an effort to unseat him. As of Wednesday morning, the “no” vote led the “yes” vote by nearly two-to-one (64.2.% to 35.8%), a stunning result given that several polls of likely California voters in late July showed Newsom within the margin of error or even losing. “We may have lost the battle, but we are going to win the war,” Elder told supporters, urging them...

I am not in Ca but have important interest in this Ca vote. Ca is the test bed for unconstitutional laws that are eventually implemented nation wide. If Newsom is recalled it will be a huge blow to the Democrat party agenda over all. Does anyone have a reliable source to monitor and keep tract of the numbers today? The only one I could find was the SF Chronicle. And I don't trust the numbers they will be throwing out. Any help with this would be great!

Neither rain, nor sleet … nor presidential proclamation. President Biden on Thursday mandated COVID-19 vaccines for about 100 million US workers, but the more than 600,000 letter-carriers and administrative staff of the US Postal Service reportedly won’t have to get a shot. A White House official confirmed the exemption to Washington Post postal reporter Jacob Bogage, adding that “we strongly encourage them to comply with these standards” anyhow. It was not immediately clear why postal workers — who serve every community in the United States, often with daily door-to-door deliveries and contact with millions of Americans — would be exempted...

U.S. Postal Service employees are exempt from the Biden administration’s new coronavirus-vaccine requirements for federal workers and large companies, White House officials told the Washington Post on Thursday evening. -snip- However, those requirements do not extend to the USPS, a federal agency that employs over 644,000 people. “We strongly encourage them to comply with these standards,” White House officials told the Post. It was not immediately clear why the administration’s vaccination requirements do not extend to the Postal Service.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has officially informed her Democratic Party caucus that the House of Representatives could decide the presidential election — and has urged them to focus on winning races that could decide the outcome. The House could decide the election if no candidate achieves a majority in the Electoral College.

Another day, another corrupt Obama judge. Judge Stanley Bastian in Eastern Washington’s US District Court, an Obama appointee on Thursday issued a nationwide injunction blocking Postmaster General Louis DeJoy from making operational changes to the United States Postal Service ahead of the general election. The post office is an establishment in the executive branch and controlled by presidential appointees, but this Obama judge believes he runs the post office and controls the executive branch. The Democrat-media complex exploded last month and accused President Trump of “destroying” the US Postal Service after the President’s newly appointed Postmaster General made structural changes.

Now ballots will be counted if they're received by 5 p.m. on Nov. 6 -- as long as they're postmarked by 8 p.m. on Election Day, according to the court’s order.

I have not read the opinion yet, but from this article, the Court said that despite being against the state statutes, ballots arriving 3 days after Nov. 3, will be counted even if there is no postmark. I don't see how Trump wins Pennsylvania if this is allowed to stand. -ajf The three parts of the opinion are here: https://twitter.com/SupremeCtofPA/status/1306645333754228738 https://twitter.com/SupremeCtofPA/status/1306645603674394626 https://twitter.com/SupremeCtofPA/status/1306644538539339777
