-- Carnival Corporation's entire fleet of ships, from all its cruise lines, could be back in the waters by the end of the year, company President and CEO Arnold Donald said today, but there's no firm timeline for restart yet as the dialogue with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention is still ongoing. The mixed message of optimism and stagnation came during the company's Q4 earnings call Monday. Carnival Corporation, which counts Carnival Cruise Line, Costa, Cunard, Holland America, Princess, Seabourn and others as part of its global portfolio, reported a $2.2 billion loss for the fourth quarter...

We know you love to stash ammo, because no gun owner wants to be without a few rounds when they need it most. But does it have a shelf-life? When does it go bad, if ever? In this article we’ll examine what causes ammo to peter-out, and what you can do to prolong its life. I remember the day I asked my father if we could shoot “the old .303.” To my delight, he said yes. (I guess he’d had a good day at work, because I’d been asking him for years!) He’d bought the Lee Enfield WWI-era bolt-action...

High-end custom knives run from $400 to $40,000. Here's what makes them so expensive, and why they could be worth it. Buying an expensive knife won't turn you into an excellent cook anymore than going to the Container Store will make you an organized person. But well-crafted custom knives are things of physical beauty, and they can have a kind of talismanic power. Super-luxury chef's knives start at about $400, and go up from there. Famously, some custom knives, like those from legendary knife maker Bob Kramer, sell for upwards of $500 an inch. At auction, Kramer's knives often fetch...

There are a lot of things that come in a can. You can get a loaf of bread, a cheeseburger, a “whole chicken“ (if you can count it as such, because it comes out all butchered and congealed), rattlesnake, and more. There was even a company called GAME that created Christmas Tinner, which is a nine-course holiday meal in a can. Needless to say, that did not take off. One item I can safely say I never thought I’d find is canned cheddar cheese, but here we are. I found a canned cheddar cheese. It’s called Cougar Gold Cheddar Cheese....

Texas Land Commissioner George P Bush has furiously denied claims that he plans to erect a statue of a Mexican dictator who led troops against the defenders of the Alamo at the site of the historic battle in San Antonio. Bush, the son of former Florida governor Jeb Bush and nephew of President George W Bush, has been at the center of a simmering dispute over planned renovations at the Alamo, which he is overseeing. Controversy arose when a group called Save The Alamo reported in a December 10 Facebook post that Bush intends to put up a statue of...

If you've purchased a new 4K or 8K television and need content to test it out Youtube has a lot of nice videos. I was just looking for something to use as eye candy while we were eating lunch so I put on a walking tour of one of my favorite cities, Barcelona. Instead of admiring the beautiful scenery and high resolution it turned out to be one of the most depressing shows we've seen in ages. This was filmed in July, during the height of the tourist season, and the place is practically deserted. The few people who are...

With six days to go and really no mention of Kamala Harris leaving the Senate, I figured it may be a good distraction from everything going on to have some fun with potential Senator picks!

Siegfried and Roy were a big number in the circus world. First in Hollywood and later in Las Vegas, their show bringing together felines, performers and magic was a visitors’ magnet. The “Siegfried & Roy at the Mirage Resort and Casino” show, featuring white tigers, lions, acrobatics and glamour brought in millions of dollars to the two German magicians. That was until Roy Horn’s accident on October 3, 2003, when he was attacked by his tiger Montecore during a performance. Just the evening before, the duo had celebrated Horn’s 59th birthday and 43 years of a successful partnership. Siegfried Fischbacher...

President Trump. I just want to say thank you for the last four years. Thank you for making it cool to be an American again. Thank you for showing us that we don’t need to be under China’s thumb anymore economically, or any other way. Thank you for one of the strongest economies we’ve ever experienced in my lifetime. Thank you for all you have done for the minority communities, and the outstanding decrease in the unemployment rate you had. Thank you for making it feel good to love our country and to be a proud patriot again. Thank you...

Get over it my friends. Time to prepare. The seat is only gone for 2 years and we can recover but only if we use our heads. Collins didn't. He should have dropped out and given Loeffer the 50% to avoid the runoff. Loeffer and Perdue were not worth following into battle and runoffs allow the rats to fully concentrate with more money. Give them the Nov. 3 votes and we keep the seats. My choice would be Vernon Jones the questionable Democrat. Tomorrow it's Az.

We have a statue called Lady Liberty; she was the welcoming sign to America for immigrants for more than a century. She welcomed people telling them “you are no longer adrift on a restless sea”. We had a president who carried a torch for America to make it great. Like many men, despite his past, he had a light in his heart for God and he carried a torch to illuminate what our nation could be, should be. Evil winds were constantly blowing at his torch to extinguish his flame. But when you try to blow out one man's torch,...

I think people here know that I’m a doctor. I just completed the second shot of the two dose Pfizer vaccine. I felt virtually nothing after the first shot and nothing after the second shot given about 15 hours ago. The injection consists of only 0.3 ml. Contrast that with the flu vaccine that is 0.5 ml. The first shot helps your body recognize the virus, and the second revs up your immune system. As you know, 99% of those infected with the virus recover fully. On the other hand there is a small percentage that recover but not fully....
