Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, reportedly is considering a 2028 presidential run, which could put him on a collision course with Vice President JD Vance.Cruz privately has been signaling to allies that he's hearing growing encouragement to jump into the next open Republican primary, as the party begins to look past President Donald Trump's second term, The Washington Post reported Monday.Cruz's deliberations, the newspaper said, have intensified as he positions himself as a leading voice for a more traditional, hawkish GOP foreign policy — and as he wages an increasingly public feud with influential MAGA media figure Tucker Carlson.

President Donald Trump assailed The New York Times, accusing the paper of "seditious, perhaps even treasonous" behavior as it and other mainstream media outlets circulate "fake" reports suggesting he's slowing down. "There has never been a President that has worked as hard as me," Trump said in a Tuesday night statement on Truth Social, pushing back on claims about his stamina and sharpness. He touted what he described as a record of achievements, saying he "stopped Eight Wars," built "the Greatest Economy in the History of our Country," rebuilt the military, delivered the "Largest Tax Cuts and Regulation Cuts, EVER,"...

“The Administration that never was.” How else can Barack Obama’s tenure in the White House be characterized? In 2008 when the greedy and the foolish joined together to elect Barack Obama and a Charley McCarthy dummy named Joe Biden, putting them in charge of the greatest country ever conceived, they promptly set about destroying America. In early 2009 Obama had a near 70% approval rating which means that many who voted against him were willing to back him; yet nothing substantive or helpful has ever come out of Obama’s White House. Obama’s Administration that never was gave us Hillary Clinton...

As far as Chris Matthews is concerned, David Petraeus, four-star general, commander of the Multi-National Force-Iraq, someone who has devoted his life to serving our country, is no better than Charlie McCarthy, a ventriloquist's dummy.View video here. As I noted yesterday, "Hardball" host Matthews had gone apoplectic over the fact that in his initial response to a senator's question, Petraeus wouldn't say whether the war in Iraq makes America safer. Shortly thereafter, in the course of the same Senate testimony, Petraeus made clear his view that America's security is indeed tied to our effort in Iraq. I observed that Petraeus's...
