"CBS Evening News" anchor Katie Couric is profiled in the March issue of Harper's Bazaar, and she took some very fancy photos for the magazine. Here's an unexpected video interview from the photoshoot:

CBSNEWS anchorwoman and 60 MINUTES contributor Katie Couric faces a dramatic pay cut at the network, insiders tell the DRUDGE REPORT. CBS boss Les Moonves is determined to save money and trim expenses -- from top to bottom -- at the former crown jewel of broadcasting. Couric, the highest paid TV news personality in history, commands over $14 million a year, plus bumps for non-EVENING NEWS appearances. But her salary is now in the direct line of fire, network insiders explain, and a populist backlash against Couric's cash is said to be forming inside the newsroom. "She makes enough to...

Profanity warning. These pro-abortion grandmas cuss a bit in their little song. But you've just got to see this. Hilarious. This is what the pro-abortion movement is down to - Raging grannies. News fairly unbalanced. We report. You decipher. The National Organization for Women on Monday called on CBS to yank a pro-life Super Bowl ad featuring former Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow, and it started a campaign to demand that authorities withdraw Tebow's Heisman Trophy and pull his National Championship ring. The ad, sponsored by Colorado-based Focus on the Family, highlights Pam Tebow's high-risk pregnancy and her decision to give birth to Tim despite a medical recommendation to abort the fetus. The women's rights group said Mrs. Tebow's decision, 23 years ago, "set in motion a cascade of events ending in this...

CBS's 'super' business plan favors Religious Rightby Kevin Hollinshead The Rocky Mountain Collegian last edited: 9:33 pm 01/31/2010 Super Bowl Sunday was once considered a holy day in this country, purely a celebration of football, funny commercials and obscenely huge piles of chicken wings. You certainly never let hot-button politics pervade the sanctity of the gridiron. CBS, however, is now directly involved with an unprecedented politicization of the game. The network recently decided to air an anti-abortion commercial from the evangelical political organization Focus on the Family during this Sunday’s broadcast. The ad will reportedly feature Florida Gators quarterback Tim...

Super Bowl network CBS rejected an ad Friday from ManCrunch.com, a gay dating Web site. "After reviewing the ad, which is entirely commercial in nature, our standards and practices department decided not to accept this particular spot," said CBS spokeswoman Shannon Jacobs. "We are always open to working with a client on alternative submissions." CBS said it turned down the ad partly for financial reasons, but ManCrunch believes that there's more to it than that. "It's straight-up discrimination," said Elissa Buchter, spokeswoman for the Toronto-based dating site. Jacobs of CBS declined to comment on the charge of discrimination. Buchter provided...

Poor CBS. They are caught between a rock and hard place this week. And all for making two very correct programming decisions for which they may end up paying dearly. First, executives in their Standards and Practices department accepted and ad from Focus on the Family celebrating Pam Tebow's decision in 1987 to give birth to her son Tim, despite the risk of losing her own life. She had contracted amoebic dysentery in the Philippines, while she was working as a missionary. She was treated with strong antibiotics, which doctors told her had caused fetal damage, and recommended that she...

As usual, ABC, CBS, and NBC ignored Friday’s March for Life protest. (Even the Associated Press skipped over the tens of thousands marching.) But the PBS NewsHour at least offered a brief from news anchor Hari Sreenivasan: Thousands rallied in Washington in the annual March For Life. It was the 37th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade that legalized abortion. The anti-abortion crowd rallied at the White House, and then moved on to the Supreme Court. A handful of abortion rights supporters were also present. NPR covered the trial on the murder of late-term abortionist George...

January 14, 2010 1:32 PM Rush Limbaugh Slams Obama's Response to Haiti Earthquake Stephanie Condon (AP Photo)In the face of utter devastation across Haiti following a huge earthquake, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh took to the airwaves yesterday to blast President Obama for his response to the crisis. The disaster enables Mr. Obama to highlight his "compassionate" and "humanitarian" credentials and to "boost his credibility with the black community," Limbaugh said. He also decried the White House's promotion of charitable organizations through which people can contribute to the disaster relief. "We've already donated to Haiti," he said. "It's called...

Here is video of CBS News reporter Jeff Glor in Haiti where he talked with victims and showed some of the hardest hit areas of Port-Au-Prince. Glor followed a family into their damaged home and while he was talking with her, a tremor took place that sent them all running back out into the street. Glor also shows the scene outside a hospital where many of the wounded are lying in the street with no help. He then appeared in a live shot with CBS Anchor Katie Couric. Glor continued to talk with Couric standing beside him. Couric never said...

For those still clinging to fantasy about Obama's approval rating soaring mightily over Rasmussen "disinformation/propaganda" numbers.... would you believe MSM's darling, CBS viewers coming in at 46% "approval"? Do allow me to quote from the CBS article: Mr. Obama's approval rating among independents has declined 10 points in recent months... and it now stands at just 42 percent. Allow me to add that CBS says the "disapproval" rate of *all* poll participants is 41%. Let's recap... s-l-o-w-l-y, shall we? Breaking: Tonight on "AC360," Anderson Cooper announced that Erica Hill is leaving the program and CNN "for an exciting future at CBS News." Earlier, we reported that an announcement would be coming this evening. Hill has been co-host of CBS' "Early Show" Saturday Edition with Chris Wragge since September of 2008. Hill had been with the CNN since 2003, when she started as an anchor for Headline News. She had been a full-time correspondent and substitute anchor for "AC360" since 2008. In recent weeks, she'd also been one of the rotating anchors for "CNN Tonight." An emotional Hill appeared on...

SOT - Bob Schieffer "Republicans are still dead set against everything, and the Democratic left is furious. They believe the President and the Senate Democrats gave up too much when they dropped the so-called 'public option' and other features. So, liberals are going to try to restore some of what the Senate took out of the bill, which of course would kill it for sure when it goes back to the Senate. And there are even bigger differences now over abortion coverage, so this thing could still fall apart.
