Attorney General Pam Bondi will revoke federal funding from California if Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom refuses to end his state’s sanctuary policies for illegal aliens, she announced Thursday.
Bondi shared a letter to Newsom in which she made the warning clear.
“Dear Governor Newsom, The United States has a long history of cooperation with state and local law enforcement agencies, including for immigration enforcement,” Bondi wrote.
“Such cooperation is vital to enforce federal law and protect national security,” she continued.

I live in Fresno, in a place that seems worse every day — more homeless people, more folks wandering the streets like zombies, and rising crime. Most radio stations are now Spanish-speaking, with a few Hindi and Hmong stations.
The state is in trouble, unfortunately. California pays far more in federal taxes ($806 billion) than it receives, with a net loss of around $80 billion a year. If the U.S. government wants to withhold tax dollars, maybe Californians should just send their federal taxes to Sacramento instead of the IRS. That would put the state $80 billion ahead.
