CBS crime drama The Good Fight tweeted an image on Friday from a recent episode, entitled, “The One Where Diane Joins the Resistance.” The imaged showed a character pointing to a list of “target words” that included the phrases “Assassinate President Trump” and “Eliminate Mar-a-Lago.” The tweet, which has since been deleted, sparked backlash among Twitter users, many of who reported CBS to the Secret Service. The official CBS Twitter account for The Good Fight asked viewers if they had noticed any “Easter eggs” within the “target words” from the Mach episode. “Hmmm… some of those target words look a...
  • CBS Put Out Call To Kill The President

A new CBS show called “The Good Fight” issued a thinly veiled assassination order. They tweeted an image saying “assassinate president trump” and then put out a video rationalizing and justifying political violence. I don’t even know where to begin. The Secret Service needs to visit them immediately. CBS’s National Broadcast License should be revoked immediately and only returned conditionally when this show is off the air, the people in charge are fired and monitoring is put in place to ensure they don’t put out any more incitement to violence.
  • CBS is ancom/antifa now. That's not ironic. (SeeBS drama The Good Fight advocates PC violence.)

A senior Barack Obama State Department official gave the green light to an FBI agent in 2016 to meet with dossier writer Christopher Steele, a meeting that touched off a relationship that would fuel the ongoing investigation into possible Donald Trump-Russia election collusion. And, the sensational Steele allegation that led to an FBI wiretap on Trump volunteer Carter Page came from “pillow talk” with the lover of a Kremlin official, a new book says. The disclosure that Victoria Nuland started the process is contained in “Russian Roulette,” a book released Tuesday by Yahoo News report Michael Isikoff and Mother Jones...
  • Tax refunds so far this year are down by $6 billion from 2018. (fake news)

Individual tax refunds this year have been only slightly smaller than last year, but those shortfalls are adding up. At the end of last month, the amount of money the government refunded was $6 billion below this time last year, according to IRS figures. As of March 29, the Treasury had issued 71.8 million refunds. This time a year ago it had issued 73.4 million. So while the average refund, at $2,873, is only $20 less than it was last year, about 1.6 million fewer people are getting refunds, the IRS said. That shrinking pot of money is showing up...
  • Sen. Ted Cruz Says Closing US-Mexico Border ‘Would Be Devastating To Texas’ (doesn't have to be)

WASHINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – While he has expressed support for President Donald Trump’s plans for a border wall, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said in a statement he is against closing the border to slow the flow of South American migrants and asylum seekers. “Closing the border to legal commerce would be devastating to Texas. Millions of jobs, in Texas and across the country, depend upon trade with Mexico, and the federal government shouldn’t do anything to jeopardize those jobs,” Sen. Cruz said.

Two rape allegations later, one of them corroborated by contemporaneous witnesses, 'Justin Fairfax' remains the Democratic Lieutenant Governor of Virginia. That puts him next in line to succeed Gov. Ralph Northam, also a Democrat. CBS News has followed up on the Fairfax story, conducting harrowing interviews with both accusers. Fairfax concedes that he had sexual encounters with both women, but maintains that they were consensual. The alarming evidence begs to differ. The significant detail that CBS News' latest interviews have added to the fray is that Fairfax's modus operandi was the same in both cases: He specifically targeted, isolated, and...

In a misguided attempt to find an edgy new angle on the border crisis, CBS aired a documentary segment Sunday that casts a sympathetic light on a pair of coyotes, or human smugglers, in Panama. Under the headline, “The human coyotes helping migrants survive Central America’s grueling Darien Gap jungle,” CBS portrays two men, Gonzalez Jimenez and his smuggling partner Augustin, as humanitarians just trying to help get migrants safely through a dangerous stretch of jungle: Emerson Gonzalez Jimenez said he typically charges $700 to get people safely from Capurgana, Colombia, to Bajo Chiquito, Panama. He said he sometimes makes...

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, the fourth-highest ranking Democrat in the House, said special counsel Robert Mueller's report should be made public so Americans can find out whether President Trump is a legitimate leader, an asset of the Russian government, a kingpin or a "useful idiot." "Let's take the first step in terms of the full disclosure of the report and the underlying documentation," Jeffries said on "Face the Nation" Sunday. "The American people deserve to know whether Donald Trump is either: A, a legitimate president; B, a Russian asset; C, the functional equivalent of an organized crime boss or; D, just...

Lara Logan, former correspondent for “60 Minutes,” caused a stir last week when, on a podcast called “Mike Drop,” she said that too many in the media have become “political activists.” -SNIP- Journalists are not activists. We may share the passion for a particular cause, but our job is to follow the facts wherever they may lead. We can’t ignore something that reflects badly on a noble cause, as an activist might. We have to care about the means as much as the end because our duty is to search for the whole truth. -SNIP- It is a fact that...

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Authorities arrested a man suspected of shooting the security guard of a news crew that was robbed while covering the Oakland teachers strike, according to a statement by the CBS affiliate. KPIX said a reporter and a photographer were gathering interviews Sunday about the strike at the Oakland Library when a car pulled up and the driver pulled a gun, demanding their camera. The crew surrendered the equipment and began walking away. The suspect then shot the guard, Matt Meredith, in the leg, the news station said. KPIX reporter Joe Vazquez said on Twitter that the...

SIAP: I did a search and didn't find this about the letter. _______________________________ Update: The two men once considered suspects in the Jussie Smollett case were prepared to testify to a grand jury Tuesday, but a last-minute call from Smollett’s lawyers claiming they possibly have new evidence led to prosecutors postponing the testimony. CHICAGO (CBS) — The two brothers involved in the Jussie Smollett attack told police that Smollett was behind creating a racist letter that was sent to the actor on the set of his show, “Empire,” according to two sources with first-hand knowledge of the investigation. Lara Logan, the journalist who gained wider renown covering war-torn spots in the Middle East for CBS News, is no longer with the network and has not been for several months. The split, disclosed as the result of Logan making an appearance over the weekend on a podcast in which she suggested news consumers ought to get information from both liberal and conservative outlets, might come as a surprise to outsiders. Logan had been working for “60 Minutes” and gained a reputation for visiting dangerous locales in Afghanistan and Iraq, often embedded with U.S. armed forces. She joined CBS News...

CBS journalist Lara Logan on Friday unleashed a blistering, uncensored attack on the extreme liberal bias polluting America's news outlets. Logan derided the “horses**t” “propagandist” press that had no interest in fairness. Appearing on Mike Drop, the podcast of former Navy SEAL Mike Ritland, the foreign affairs correspondent and occasional 60 Minutes reporter berated slanted coverage in a way rarely seen by those in the mainstream press: “We’ve become political activists in a sense. And some could argue, propagandists, right?” Logan’s outburst came after noting former New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson's admission that the paper publishes “raw opinion”...

(snip) "[At Israel's Wailing Wall]...women have this tiny little spot in front of the wall to pray, and the rest of the wall is for the men. To me, that’s a great representation of the American media, is that in this tiny little corner where the women pray you’ve got Breitbart and Fox News and a few others, and from there on, you have CBS, ABC, NBC, Huffington Post, Politico, whatever, right? All of them." Logan continued by saying President Donald Trump‘s press coverage is a case and point of how the media produces a “distortion” by boiling things...

Lara Logan, foreign correspondent for CBS’s 60 Minutes, said Breitbart News offers “the other side” of news media relative to what she described as a mostly left-wing and partisan Democrat news landscape in the U.S. and abroad. She offered her remarks in an interview published last Friday with the Mike Drop podcast, hosted by retired Navy SEAL Mike Ritland.Ritland characterized U.S. news media as “absurdly left-leaning” and supportive of Democrats, further describing the status quo of American news media’s left-wing and partisan Democrat biases as a “huge f__ing problem” and “disaster for this country.”Logan concurred, “I agree with that. Twitter continues to provide unmissable examples of media adoration of Democrats. Female reporters from CBS, CNN, and NBC gushily tweeted on Saturday about picking out an "amazing" jacket for Kamala Harris on the campaign trail. Does anyone think this happened for Michelle Bachman in 2011? Carly Fiorina in 2015? The professional excuse was Harris was touring small businesses in South Carolina. But the fashionistas were purring over a "great," "awesome," "amazing" coat they were "forcing" on the candidate. Here's Caitlin Huey-Burns from CBS:
