The creators of “South Park” made a major announcement this morning during a conversation with Gov. Jared Polis – they’re in the process of buying Casa Bonita. Trey Parker and Matt Stone have said that they wanted to buy the iconic restaurant in the past, but the owner had reported that he was focused on reopening and not looking to sell at the moment. “As of about an hour ago, pending bankruptcy proceedings that have to happen in a couple of months, we’ve come to an agreement with the owner and we bought it,” Stone said.

A spellbound hush fell over Casa Bonita’s lunch crowd as 20-year-old Georgia Pullis, one of the restaurant’s cliff divers, took her place at the rocky ledge over the iconic 30-foot waterfall. Dressed in a striped swimsuit with water dripping down her back, Pullis took a deep breath before she launched into a graceful layout back somersault dive. She surfaced to the delighted cheers of the guests. As Pullis climbed out of the pool, diners went back to their burritos and tacos. But they had just witnessed something remarkable.
