House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) has invited his Democratic counterpart Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to sit with him at Tuesday's State of the Union. Cantor's office said he made the ask last night. Pelosi's office didn't respond to an email asking if the former speaker would cozy up next to Cantor. The two hardly are pals. Cantor Monday blasted Pelosi for not meeting with Republicans -- a contention that the Californian's office says is not true.

GOP aides tell NBC News that Rep. Eric Cantor's chief of staff has asked Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's office if she would like to sit next to the Republican Majority Leader for tonight's State of the Union. When asked by NBC News about the offer, Cantor said, "I've not heard a response back from her office." It is unclear whether or not she will accept the invite. Federal authorities have arrested a Philadelphia man and charged him with threatening to kill House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and his family. Norman Leboon will be charged with two federal counts: threatening to kill a member of Congress and interfering with his federal duties, and posting video online containing such threats.
