Police are hunting for a trio of women accused of robbing at least two taxi drivers at gunpoint in Manhattan and the Bronx. The first incident occurred just after 1 a.m. on Nov. 20, when a 60-year-old cabbie got into an argument with the three women, who were passengers in his taxi, on Lexington Avenue near East 42nd Street, the NYPD said. The suspects pulled a gun on the driver and snatched his cellphone — before jumping out of the car and running off into the Grand Central-42nd Street subway station, according to police.

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - A New York City cab driver has been suspended for wearing a Nazi swastika armband while on duty. The Taxi and Limousine Commission confirmed to Fox 5 News on Friday that the driver had been suspended for 30 days. His name was not released.

A search warrant filed in Hennepin County connects a shooting investigation to a possible terror plot. According to court documents, four Somali teenage males were riding in a cab on June 24 the same night a man was shot in the chest around 9:00 p.m. Video surveillance at the Glendale Housing Projects captured the cab fleeing near the scene of the shooting. The Kansas City International Airport has added several foot-washing basins in restrooms to accommodate a growing number of Muslim taxicab drivers who requested the facilities to prepare for daily Islamic prayer, WND has learned. The operator of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Monday approved tougher penalties for cabdrivers who refuse service to travelers carrying alcohol, as some Muslim drivers have done for religious reasons.
