Business, Labor Strike Deal On Guest Workers
Business and labor groups [AFL-CIO and Chamber of Commerce] have reached an agreement on a temporary worker program. The program would start at 20,000 visas, increasing in subsequent years up to 200,000 [low skilled foreign workers]. Workers would be eligible to petition for legal residency after one year.
