Business and labor groups [AFL-CIO and Chamber of Commerce] have reached an agreement on a temporary worker program. The program would start at 20,000 visas, increasing in subsequent years up to 200,000 [low skilled foreign workers]. Workers would be eligible to petition for legal residency after one year.

Then they kick into bag of cash, give it to their lobbyist—likely a former Congress critter—and s/he delivers the bag to McCain & Co.

I’m curious, what jobs are we talking about that we need 20 thousand guest workers? Or, is this another scheme designed to bolster the ‘Bammy and his “laser-like” focus on jobs?
