Dude relax....there are close to 100 responses in the other thread, so obviously a few FReepers care about it. Step away from the computer and take a few deep breaths, it's gonna be alright.

He's stated many times that he doesn't believe that this war is being fought for the right reasons. He's stated that this war was not the best move in the war on terror. Patrick Buchanan has made it perfectly clear that he does not support this war. Being critical, because you honestly feel that the country you love so much is being jeopardized because of bad decision making is not siding with the enemy as you so plainly like to put it.

Still waiting to see those pics of Pat marching against the troops by the way.....

Also can someone call Generals Zinni and Schwarzkopf. Tell them that they're nothing but commie terrorist scum because I'm pretty sure I heard them being critical of the war somewhere along the line.

I'll tell you what, pal. Please provide me with some sort of link or text that demonstrates Pat openly siding with communists and terrorists or protesting against America and our troops. If this is as you say I'll glady eat my words and apologize.

Just spare me of some lame transcript from MSNBC that has Pat criticizing Bush. Being critical of this president/war/administration does not mean that they hate America nor does it make them any less of a patriot and I am completely fed up with that nonsense being peddled around like the gospel.

Take it as you will but it only has to do with frustration over the lack of dissenting opinion that is allowed on the board.

Pat Buchanan is a true Patriot but Jim Robinson seems to think otherwise and deems him a traitor. Because I have and always will support Mr. Buchanan I'll be dubbed an anti-semite by half of the board and will probably be booted for challening JR. It's just frustrating.

    Pure BS

Pat Buchanan is a traitor now because he doesn't walk hand-in-hand w/ President Bush on everything he does?? I'll go write Pat a letter asking him to stop being so damn conservative all the time. Calling President Bush out on his out of control spending, poor Supreme Court nomination, open borders and a war he feels wasn't in our best interest. I mean shucks if that isnt the behavior of a traitor I dont know what is. Give me Pat Buchanan for president any day of the week and twice on Sunday over our curent fearless conservative leader. I'll now wait about 5 minutes before my post is deleted and my account is probably banned for voicing my opinion.

Sadly enough, I've seen many a poster here have that same sentiment sarcasm not included. When the AIPAC scandal first broke I was disgusted to see how many people would pass it off with comments to the effect of...."Oh well Israel is our greatest ally in the war on terror so no real harm done."

Thats how the nyc electrial system is configured. All of our equipment is constantly being metered and whenever a discrepancy is detected the appropriate relays are activated causing circuit breakers to open as necessary so as to isolate any fault.

Banned smoking in bars, jacked up property taxes, increased transit fares, got three fire houses shut down in areas known to be busy, and signed that oh so beautiful Executive Order 41 only a few years after 9/11 prohibiting police officers or other city employees from reporting a person's immigrant status to federal officials letting thousands of illegals run rampant in the city and leaving cops with their hands tied behind their backs.

NY will always be my home and will always be the greatest city in the world but it certainly has nothing to do with bloomie.

And no I don't think Fernando Ferrer would do a good as his replacement. I'd like to think that maybe a Republican who was actually "conservative" might replace him.

All of you people saying cities like Atlanta, New York, Boston , Chicago, San Diego etc. are nothing but rat hellholes are absolutely ridiculous. I could understand not wanting to live in an urban environment but finding no redeeming qualities in any of these cities is quite a stretch.

The joke about abortion seems alot harsher when read in plain text. When i watched him deliver it on his HBO special it was obviously a rehashed joke used by many comedians for years and it didn't strike me as painfully offensive regardless of it being not funny.

In the big picutre I find him to be very funny and talented. He's brutally honest and never pulls punches based on race/gender/religion etc. I can respect a guy who makes no bones about who he is or what he represents and hits you with honesty all of the time regardless of whether I agree/disagree.

I hear ya. The small town cops that you talk about can be the best and worst. I've spent some time in small towns where the local police force were just great guys. No big egos or power trips. Just good people who like to keep everything quiet and will more often than not just overlook small infractions knowing that there is no big deal.

On the other hand I've encountered small town cops who were arguably some of the worst people I've ever met. I was driving up to Pennsylvania and got off for gas at a small station. A cop pulled me over right before turning into the station saying I was speeding (lie).

He proceeded to ask me 1001 questions convinced that I was a criminal. His constant referring to me as an "out of towner" and asking me what I was doing "in these parts" were just teriffic. I guess he thought by asking every question in the book I was bound to say something wrong. He even had the audacity to make the mother of all assinine comments that "I think I smell cocaine in this automobile." I politely informed that I didn't think there was much odor to that drug. As if to say AHAHH Got You now!! he asked how I knew that. At that point I gave up thinking this man had any sort of brain so I just sat back nodded, took my warning and made a mental note to get gas elsewhere in the future.
