"Who will play at the concert for power loss victims."

Bob Dylan. You know his fans hated it when he first went electric back in '64 or so.

Thats how the nyc electrial system is configured. All of our equipment is constantly being metered and whenever a discrepancy is detected the appropriate relays are activated causing circuit breakers to open as necessary so as to isolate any fault.

John Gibson (FNC) just took a call from the CA Democratic Spokesman who IMMEDIATELY blamed the power outage on the governor's failure to address CA's power grid problems ("and instead was attending fundraisers . . . ). Will now every single solitary glitch in the infrastructure of this nation, or every single Act of God become a political football??? AAAUGGRH!

There was more, of course, "where are the backup systems? how can we function? what if we had been hit with a terrorist attack at the same time?"

I was waiting for: "Where's FEMA? Where's the National Guard? Where are the school buses?"

WiseButAngrySara (689 posts) Mon Sep-12-05 05:24 PM Response to Reply #32 65. I heard on CNN and MSNBC that 'someone accidentally cut a power line' and that it had NOTHING to do with the terra alerts yesterday, and was just COINCIDENCE...But all the media can talk about now, is NO FEAR, NO FEAR, NO TERROR, FLASE ALARM, JUST COINCIDENCE, JUST ACCIDENT..... I say JUST ROVE!

I know, but I was laughing so hard I couldn't resist!

I work down the street in the Cal-Fed (now Citibank) building. Since you're in the area, have you been over to Polka for lunch over on Verdugo? I highly recommend it.
