Hundreds of OpenAI staffers are calling for the resignation of the ChatGPT company’s board, and threatening to quit themselves, after a tumultuous weekend that began with the surprise ouster of CEO Sam Altman and ended with Altman being hired by Microsoft. In a letter obtained by CNN, the more than 500 employees accused the OpenAI board of mishandling Altman’s firing, failing to provide sufficient evidence for claims that Altman had not been candid with the board, and “negotiating in bad faith” with the company’s executive leadership.

A Connecticut state legislator is dead after a wrong-way highway crash. Democratic Rep. Quentin Williams of Middletown, 39, died in a crash that occurred on Route 9 early on Thursday, according to The New York Times. The Connecticut State Police accident report indicated the other driver was traveling on the wrong side of the highway and struck Williams’ vehicle. Several recent Supreme Court decisions have been favorable to conservatives: abortion, gun rights, and religious liberty. Simultaneously, we have uni-partisan gun-control legislation that just became law. It encourages states with financial incentives to enact red flag laws to supposedly help prevent people with mental illness from unsafely accessing guns. While the Constitutionality of such laws is questionable at best, I suggest perhaps making lemonade out of lemons. Anyone who participates in mob attacks on churches and pro-lifers needs to be red-flagged. They are proving they are not mentally stable enough to use guns responsibly.

President Joe Biden was bundled off to a secure location on Saturday after an unauthorized airplane entered the airspace around Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The president and first lady Jill Biden were hustled off to a fire station, according to Fox News. First, a small white private plane was seen above Biden’s beach house, according to a report from CBS. The Secret Service later explained what took place. “Shortly before 1 p.m. today a privately owned aircraft entered the restricted airspace over Rehoboth Delaware after mistakenly entering a secured area,” Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement, according to...

... The mesmerizing ad ends with these words on screen: "Unlock your past. Inspire your future. Ancestry." There are currently over 10 million people in Ancestry's DNA database, each of whom sent the company $99 plus tiny bit of saliva, hoping to discover more about where they came from, who they're related to, what they're made of, what hidden gifts might lie dormant within them – in short, who they really are. While a few fortunate customers are reunited with long-lost relatives, most people, in return for paying for the privilege of giving their most private, personal data – their...

Two observations about the sexual misconduct allegations / smear campaign against the Honorable Brett Kavanaugh: 1. The evidentiary standards being pushed by Democrats and the MSM are lower than those used in the Salem witch trials. 2. Rapists, groomers, pimps and similar sexual deviants are never pro-life. These types always rely on easy access to abortion in order to cover up their crimes.

LEXINGTON, Kentucky, Pro-homosexual dissident 'Catholic' groups see in Pope Francis' ‘changing’ of the Church’s teaching on the death penalty the hope that the Church will one day also change its teaching against homosexuality. New Ways Ministry called the change in the Catechism proof that "Church teaching can change." "It's important for Catholic advocates for LGBT equality to take note of this change because for decades Catholic opponents of LGBT equality argued that it is impossible to change church teaching. They often pointed to the fact that condemnations of same-sex relationships were inscribed in the Catechism, and so were not open...

The long-simmering feud between President Trump and the Justice Department erupted into open conflict Wednesday when the FBI publicly challenged the president’s expected release of a contentious and classified memo related to the probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 election. In a rare unsigned statement, the FBI cited “grave concerns” with inaccuracies and omissions in the four-page memo, which was written by House Republicans and alleges abuses at the Justice Department connected to secret surveillance orders. Trump has told advisers that the memo could benefit him by undercutting the special counsel’s investigation and allow him to oust senior Justice...

David Kupelian explains how the left manipulates people into betraying their deepest values: It has become increasingly clear that the left’s ever-more-bizarre agenda for America – from passing laws prescribing imprisonment for those who fail to use the correct transgender pronoun (out of over 50 new genders!), to importing into the U.S. as many migrants as possible from impossible-to-vet, terrorist-hotbed regions of the world, to demonizing centuries of American history and destroying statues of the nation’s founders – is simply insane. Not “progressive," not "radical." Insane. How and why, then, is the left able to "sell" this suicidal agenda to...

Reading people’s comments online is an interesting and sometimes troubling study in human nature. And reading comments by professing Christians on Christian sites (as well as other sites) can be a discouraging study in applied theology. The immediate, shoot-from-the-hip nature of comments on websites and social media is what can often make them minimally helpful or even destructive. Comments can easily be careless. That’s why we must heed Jesus’s warning: “on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak” (Matthew 12:36). This caution makes commenting serious business to God. How Should We Comment?

Which is the real delusion — love or selfishness? This isn’t just a rhetorical question. It’s a question that gets at the heart of Western civilization’s moral and existential confusion. Are you most in sync with reality when you seek your self-interest first or when you “count others more significant than yourself” (Philippians 2:3)? Is love, and its resulting virtues, truly the highest moral good for humans, or is it really a grand illusion created by our genes to get us to behave in ways most likely to result in our genetic survival? In other words, does love really exist?...

Harvard University chemists have invented a new kind of “bionic” leaf that uses bacteria, sunlight, water, and air to make fertilizer right in the soil where crops are grown. It could make possible a future low-cost commercial fertilizer for poorer countries in the emerging world... Fertilizer created from sunlight + water + carbon dioxide and nitrogen from the air For the new “bionic leaf,” Nocera’s team has designed a system in which bacteria use hydrogen from the water split by the artificial leaf plus carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to make a bioplastic that the bacteria store inside themselves as...

Former interim Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile admitted Friday that she forwarded Democratic primary debate questions to members of Hillary Clinton's campaign – something she had previously denied. ... “As a Christian woman, I understand persecution, but I will not sit here and be persecuted,” Brazile said. “Your information is totally false.” ... “My job was to make all our Democratic candidates look good, and I worked closely with both campaigns to make that happen. But sending those emails was a mistake I will forever regret,” she wrote.

CNN's newest original series Believer With Reza Aslan, which premiered Sunday, has been termed "callous," "reckless," "disgusting" and other such uncharitable things. Social commentators have raised concerns over the show's impact at a time when the U.S. is infested with fears about the "outsider." Here's what happened... He allows an Aghori guru to smear the ashes of cremated humans on his face; he even drinks alcohol from a human skull and eats what is likely to be a bit of human brain...
