Harvard University chemists have invented a new kind of “bionic” leaf that uses bacteria, sunlight, water, and air to make fertilizer right in the soil where crops are grown. It could make possible a future low-cost commercial fertilizer for poorer countries in the emerging world... Fertilizer created from sunlight + water + carbon dioxide and nitrogen from the air For the new “bionic leaf,” Nocera’s team has designed a system in which bacteria use hydrogen from the water split by the artificial leaf plus carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to make a bioplastic that the bacteria store inside themselves as...

Former interim Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile admitted Friday that she forwarded Democratic primary debate questions to members of Hillary Clinton's campaign – something she had previously denied. ... “As a Christian woman, I understand persecution, but I will not sit here and be persecuted,” Brazile said. “Your information is totally false.” ... “My job was to make all our Democratic candidates look good, and I worked closely with both campaigns to make that happen. But sending those emails was a mistake I will forever regret,” she wrote.

CNN's newest original series Believer With Reza Aslan, which premiered Sunday, has been termed "callous," "reckless," "disgusting" and other such uncharitable things. Social commentators have raised concerns over the show's impact at a time when the U.S. is infested with fears about the "outsider." Here's what happened... He allows an Aghori guru to smear the ashes of cremated humans on his face; he even drinks alcohol from a human skull and eats what is likely to be a bit of human brain...

In 1971 Marxist strategist Saul D. Alinsky published his infamous handbook for “community organizers,” titled “Rules for Radicals,” which ever since has been the essential resource for left-wing agitators, including the Clintons and Obama. Alinsky dedicated his “Rules for Radicals” to “the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – Lucifer” [the entity also known as Satan, the Father of Lies and Enslaver of Mankind]. As we conservative populists begin to reclaim our nation from Alinsky’s anti-American Bolsheviks, we need a resource for pro-American...

Washington (CNN)An emphatically upbeat President Barack Obama promised Wednesday to work toward a "smooth transition" of power to the man he's spent the last year denigrating, insisting that despite his differences with President-elect Donald Trump he would uphold the central tenet of American democracy. Speaking in the Rose Garden as some of his aides sobbed, Obama made a deliberate effort to counter Democrats' crushing sense of doom at the prospect of four years of President Trump. "It is no secret that the President-elect and I have some pretty significant differences," Obama said with Vice President Joe Biden at his side....

Just wanted to put those words into print: President Elect Donald Trump. Feels awesome!

“If you only listen to one hour of my radio show for the rest of your life, make it the final hour of today’s program,” Sean said on Wednesday. “I want you to hear the story of Kathy Shelton." In 1975, a then 12-year-old Shelton was allegedly lured into a car and violently beaten and raped by a 41-year-old factory worker, Thomas Alfred Taylor. Her injuries were so severe that Shelton spent five days in a coma, and, when she awoke, doctors told her there was a 99 percent she would be unable to have children due to the severity...

Police were summoned to a Wichita, Kansas, abortion business when a teen texted her mom that her father, estranged from her mother, had taken her from her school to the clinic for an abortion she didn't want. However, the clinic manager refused police officers access to the student, or even to confirm whether she was there, so it's unclear whether the abortion was forced on the girl or not. The horrific circumstances have been documented by officials with Operation Rescue, a cutting edge pro-life organization that once bought a building that had been used for an abortion business and turned...

Suspect called 'difficult to work with' Police in Moneta, Virginia, said a shooter fired at a WDBJ-TV media crew in the middle of their live shot at Bridgewater Plaza, killing the cameraman and correspondent and fleeing the scene. Multiple outlets reported the suspect shot himself, but police haven’t yet confirmed. The Associated Press, citing police, released the suspect’s name as Vester Lee Flanagan II, age 41, of Roanoke. But he went by another name while working as a reporter at that station, as well as ones in North Carolina and Texas: Brice Williams. Officials with the ATF and FBI are...

Responding to shock videos released by the Center for Medical Progress, government officials in Louisiana, New Hampshire and Alabama (and, most recently, Arkansas) have moved to defund Planned Parenthood. Now the White House has entered the fray, warning these states that defunding may break the law. Through a network of affiliated clinics, Planned Parenthood provides health care services to millions of women across the country, especially low-income and young women who have few options for care.

Today, while all Americans have heard of the Declaration of Independence, all too few have read more than its second sentence. Yet the Declaration shows the natural rights foundation of the American Revolution and provides important information about what the founders believed makes a constitution or government legitimate. It also raises the question of how these fundamental rights are reconciled with the idea of “the consent of the governed,” another idea for which the Declaration is famous. When reading the Declaration, it is worth keeping in mind two very important facts. The Declaration constituted high treason against the Crown. Every...

Those attempting to conquer Syria and turn it into a jihadist, Shariah-compliant hellhole are all Sunni. So, first I have to ask myself why 93 percent of the “refugees” Democratic politicians in America are recruiting to the U.S. are Sunnis. It would be like recruiting Nazi “refugees” from Germany during World War II instead of Jews. The numbers of these so-called “refugees” from Syria are disproportionately Sunnis, even when considering the heavy percentage of the Sunni population there. What’s behind this madness? If we want to be a land of compassion to real refugees, I’m all for it. But that’s...

GARLAND, Texas – An officer who was part of the heavy security for a free-speech event called the “Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest” featuring Dutch politician Geert Wilders was shot outside the building shortly after the event ended at approximately 7 p.m. Central Time. Two suspects, who got out of their car and started shooting, were shot and killed by police. The injured officer, with the Garland Independent School District, was shot in the lower leg. Identified as Bruce Joiner, his injuries were not life threatening, and he was released from the hospital. A SWAT officer told WND two...

I did not realize or had forgotten that USA Today articles could not be posted. That is why my search turned up no results. But I wanted to point out that when a liberal rag like this publishes unfavorable polls about Obama, you know he is in trouble. A Quinnipiac University Poll, named Obama the worst president since World War II. Most people think the nation would be better off if Romney had won.

For all of the non-stop wall-to-wall coverage of yesterday’s Supreme Court decision in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby—in which the Court ruled that the government doesn’t have the authority to force “closely-held corporations” to violate their religious beliefs—a simple fact has been lost. The ruling did not overturn a single word of the “Affordable Care Act,” otherwise known as Obamacare. Nor did the Supreme Court prevent the government from requiring that taxpayers finance abortion-related services. Pro-life activists—and Obamacare opponents—are cheering today. But when they sit down and reflect, they’ll realize that they haven’t won a thing. The Supremes endorsed the White...

Oh, what a joy it is when a bad person makes a mistake that makes them into a hypocrite. Even better, it’s profoundly rewarding to see hypocrisy displayed on a national scale. And what’s even better that that? When it happens immediately following a triumph. The bigger they are, the harder they fall, and nothing is bigger at this moment than the liberal hatred of Arizona for what many liberals labeled the “anti-gay” law. While I agree that the Arizona bill could have been written more precisely, and with a more adept legislative hand, the bill was clearly intended to...

Just read in an article from USA Today which I cannot post here, that the song "Alone Yet Not Alone" has been removed from the Academy Award nomination for best original song.

Like David versus Goliath, an upstart Christian film has shocked the world by winning an unlikely victory in the form of an Academy Award nomination. Only this time, the crowds aren't cheering for David. Instead, mainstream-media Oscar watchers across the nation have blasted the Academy for choosing the hymn-like testament to God’s presence over hits by pop artists like Jay-Z and Taylor Swift. "I can’t figure any of this s— out," an unnamed competitor told the Hollywood Reporter, or THR, after learning his or her song was beaten out by "Alone Yet Not Alone," the title song from the faith-themed...

Dr. Perry Inhofe, the son of Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., has died in a plane crash. Oklahoma City television station KOCO says a source close to the senator has confirmed his son was on board a plane that crashed near Owasso, Okla., on Sunday. The plane crashed in a wooded area about five miles north of Tulsa International Airport at 4 p.m., approximately 15 minutes after the pilot reported engine trouble.

As the family of an Australian baseball player gunned down in Oklahoma mourns his death, police said today that the college athlete was targeted by three black teenagers who simply “wanted to see someone die.” The suspects followed Chris Lane, 22, as he jogged alongside a road in Duncan, Okla., Friday afternoon, shot him in the back and left him to die on the side of the road, said Duncan Police Chief Danny Ford. Lane attended East Central University in Ada, Okla., on a baseball scholarship. He was in town visiting his girlfriend. “He went by a residence where these...
