Just read in an article from USA Today which I cannot post here, that the song "Alone Yet Not Alone" has been removed from the Academy Award nomination for best original song.

The "hail Satan" left strikes again. They knew that the other songs could not stand up on their merits. I personally listened to all of the nominations, and it is clear that this song stood out even in that crowd.

If I posted how I really feel about the Hollywood left right now, I would probably get banned and also investigated by the Feds.

All I can say is I am filled with complete disgust. The same town that celebrated and clapped and cheered and cried over their own public display of indecency has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to Christian and conservative films.

I never bootlegged a Hollywood movie because I felt guilty that it would be stealing... it never had anything to do with the stupid FBI warning. I even reported a video rental store in the past for renting bootlegged copies. After this I think my position has "evolved". I no longer have any regard for Hollywood ip rights. I am starting to feel guilty for supporting them at all. I think of these people as no different in any way from the Nazi's. And I don't mean that as hyperbole.

Any discussions on the hypothetical ways people obtain bootleg movies would be very educational.

The academy said that Bruce Broughton, a music branch executive committee member who wrote the song’s music, had emailed members of the branch during the voting period, a rule violation. No new nominee will be named; only four nominees will be eligible for the Oscar.

I knew their had to be a reason. The idiot violated the rules. It is totally Bruce Broughton’s fault.

A couple years ago the Gnutella was pretty popular; BitTorrent was also pretty popular — I don't know if these are still the "top of the line", though.

He was a FORMER committee member.

And the film was an outsider.

Was it a codified rule?

How many years must one no longer be in service to be able to do this?

Was it the emailing or the former “status” of the person doing the emailing?

So nobody is supposed to notice that you’re a nasty liberal shill trying to bait conservative Christians into breaking the law, right? M’kay, I won’t tell. Besides, they’re too stupid to figure out your superior mind.

:spit:

What are we going to do now? Can’t listen to it. Might as well go back to listening to Pete Seeger.

It dared to be about God....

Well the contest and contrast between God and the dark side needs to be pretty stark sometimes before we humans who are getting hard of hearing and dim of sight will notice it.

Here’s my earnest advice: the God folks shouldn’t just take their holy marbles and go home! Sometimes a battle or two has to lose before a war can be won, because lessons need to be learned.

Maybe a better battlefield can be picked, for one thing. For example — take the God songs over to country music. They will get more attention from the “rednecks” than from these “city slicks.” It will sure beat last year’s country picks which seemed to all be about unmarried sexual trysts in pickup trucks on country roads while liquored up at midnight. (I don’t even think I exaggerate much. A critic actually put together a video demonstrating just this!)

But don’t quit trying to infiltrate the city, which needs it better. Just one possibility: God rap. Has anyone written God rap? Here’s a simple principle I have found: heaven can do anything that the world or hell does, and do it better. But heaven can’t be bowdlerized to make the grade. This has to be the same heaven that could cast fire down on the soggy sacrifices of Baal. And gave strength (and refining trials!) to he-men like David. And indeed, created the worlds from nothing. And that moves mountains better than any humanly made earth mover.

I really hope you are being sarcastic, or just caught in a brain fart. You'd apply the same logic to Obamacare, telling the youth of america it is their duty to sign up because it is the law?

No kings before god my friend. Hollywood is garbage, and you'd do God's work by undermining it. If you need to share pirated movies with the less enlightened, you should.

Why share garbage, even stolen garbage? Makes no sense to me!
