Lawmaker Dies in Fiery Wrong-Way Crash After Attending His Own Swearing-In Ceremony

A Connecticut state legislator is dead after a wrong-way highway crash.
Democratic Rep. Quentin Williams of Middletown, 39, died in a crash that occurred on Route 9 early on Thursday, according to The New York Times.
The Connecticut State Police accident report indicated the other driver was traveling on the wrong side of the highway and struck Williams’ vehicle.
That driver, 27-year-old Kimede Katie Mustafaj, also died in the collision.
Police responding to the scene of the crash described Williams’ car as being “fully engulfed in flames.”

Tragic way to die. I had to research a little to see what kind of person he was. Democrat politician who, at least on the surface, seemed dedicated to helping people. Attended an AME church. But he aligned himself with an evil political party that openly promotes perversion, the murder of babies, and many other evils. So, as harsh as it may seem to some, I have no sympathy, just as he had no sympathy for babies ripped apart in the womb or sold for parts by Planned Parenthood.
From his Facebook page on June 24, 2022: "Fighting for the right to choose, protecting practitioners and keeping Connecticut a safe place for all is at the top of my list as a lawmaker. The Court has swung radically away from mainstream America. This is devastating and will have ripple effects across politics, culture and healthcare. I stand with Roe."

I narrowly missed a head-on a number of years ago. 6am, southbound on 101 around Oxnard CA, I was in #2 lane, some idiot was headed northbound in the #1 lane. Only two cars on the road.

CT hasn’t been a safe place for several decades.When I worked on Mad Ave in NYC, back in the 70s & 80s, it was THE place to be from. That changed in the 90s/early 2000s.

Middletown is strange. The roads there aren’t really more hazardous but the most violent, destructive motor vehicle accidents happen there. Rt9 has horrible accidents all the time.
I don’t get it.
