Today my wife talked me into going to our Veterans Center for the annual breakfast. Senator Norm Coleman and our Governor, Tim Palenty, were scheduled to speak. I agreed that I should go to meet and gripe at my republican legislators. I arrived at the breakfast to find a large group of people, old and young. There were young Marines and soldiers in their dress blues. All ranks and all services serving the people that were there. There were many old gentlemen in their American Legion dress. I was served by a strong tall Marine who thanked me for my...

This morning my wife and my daughter left for a cruise. The old man had to stay behind and work. My daughter hugged and kissed me at 4:30 in the morning, as they left the house. I had given her the money to go on this cruise. My daughter and I had been at odds for a while. This was a bribe, pure and simple. I love that little girl more than she will ever know. Even if she is 23 years old, she is still my little girl, and she will always be my little girl. She is the...

Today we give thanks to God for the blessings of freedom. It will be a day of freasting, fun, and loving family near us. Our blessings are many and our family is dear, our country is all around us celibrating as well. This is a truely American holiday. It was set aside to thank God for our freedom, and the blessings of that freedom. Today I will gather with friends and family to celebrate our love and our freedom. We will drink and feast and enjoy the love between us. There will be laughter and hugs and warmth that only...

I was on my way home from a long day of work that started in the early morning. I was tired and ready to put my feet up and relax. I wanted a bourbon libation to sooth my raviged soul, so I stopped by my local liquor store. A fine establishment to be sure. As I was getting my bourbon I noticed a GI in his utilities/fatigues shopping for wine. I waited till he approached the counter then I approached right behind. As he put his bottles of wine down to pay for them I put my bottle of bourbon...

I just finished watching this dangling drip of snot called "The Fog of War" staring the Strange one himself Robert Strange McNamera and I am one p#ssed off Ranger. This entire film was a presentation to vindicate Robert Strange McNamera from the guilt he and Landslide Lyndon shared in the indecision that cost the lives of 58,000 men in Vietnam. By simplly listening to the taped conversations between those two traitors you can tell who got left behind........WE DID, and they could have cared less. If you really want to see this garbage then go ahead, but be careful, you'll...

My lovely wife gave the gift of all gifts this Christmas. All of my military awards and memorabilia burned in a fire some years ago in Texas. I had always expressed disappointment that they were gone. The only thing I had left were my corporal stripes and my 101st "Screaming eagle" patch and a partially burned ranger patch to go with it. My loving wife saw me through this last election, she saw how pissed I was at Kerry and his flauting of a 4 month stretch in the Nam. She saw how I came off the chair at any...

I just heard this RAT say this a minute ago. I've NEVER heard the President say anything like that. Anybody got some more input on this and where he could have come up with it?

As we stand on the threshold of war with Saddam and his military establishment I have some conclusions that I feel compelled to share in this forum. First, we must realize that this guy is a totalitarian dictator of award winning stature. Surely in the class of Hitler, and Stalin. He runs Iraq with an iron hand. We all recognize that. With the real threat of war, and the sure probability of his removal his field commanders must be making some plans for the inevitable. Using the last conflict with Saddam and his ilk as a measuring stick, I can...

There is a portait out there some where on the net, I'm sure. The same portrait I have here in my den. I've looked on the net for some 3 weeks to try to find it and I can't. So, I'm enlisting the help of FReepers. It is a portrait of a man in a business suit and a trench coat leaning against "The Wall", left hand is leaning on the wall and his head is bowed. In the reflection of the wall, on the other side, there are the images of soldiers, in combat gear, in a jungle. The...

Here we are, down to the wire. The "news cycle" will end in about an hour. Although the lefty press will be working overtime this weekend to support RAT candidates. Here in Minnesota it's a total zoo. The RATS have shown their furry little butts on National TV for a period of three and a half hours that made people, through out this country, run for the Pepto Bismol. They recruited the old "Norwegien Wood", Walter Mundane to carry the water of socialism into the United States Senate and offically give South Dakota it's 4th Senator. They have set in...

To: The Republican National Committee Date: October 8, 2002 My Fellow Republicans, I am in complete frustration at your lack of response to the Democratic/Media harping on the "Bad Economy". May I give you some advice...RESPOND TO THESE UNFOUNDED CLAIMS!!!! If the economy is so bad, what would the Democrats do to fix it? Would they lower taxes even further to allow more money to be invested and/or spent by the taxpayers? Would they lower the capital gains tax to a flat 2%, or would they eliminate it completely? Would they create a "flat tax" on income? Would they cut...

I just listened to a American-Muslim woman on Rush.As Rush talked to her I could think of only one thing, lose the alien identity. If, in fact you and your husband are naturalized Americans, then you are welcome, and you are our brothers and sisters. The only thing that we insist on is that you similate into our benevlant society. We will protect your church, just like you should stand and protect our church. The first, and foremost thing that Muslims must do, just like the Catholic, and Baptist, and Methodist,,,etc, etc,,etc,,. We must be Americans first....why? We have the...

I just got back from the grocery store. While standing in line I (like most Americans) couldn't help but notice the Tabloids. The National Enquirer had a front page story about HRC. The head line read "Hillary's Secret Divorce File". The subtext went something like this: "Private detective logs things on Bill for Hils secret divorce file" *Durgs and Booze *The Brazillian Hooker *Dead Nude Model There was one more, but I forgot it. My point here is, isn't this a favorite Clinton trick? And, doesn't a Clinton Butt Boy work for the National Enquirer as Chief Counsil? So, what ...

The title of this piece says it all. I know it's constitutional law, and I know it would take a constitutional amendment to change it, but does anybody think that these primadonnas need to face the electorate more than every 6 years? After the abominal performance of the Senate, and it's members, in the last 5 years or so (that goes for RATS AND Pubbies) I think they should be held to the same standard as the President. After their initial election they are assured of 6 years to wheel and deal the American people out of their hard earned ...

The vast political environemt has changed, drastically since 9/11. There have been many analysis by the liberal press, and by the conservative press (on the internet). We could analyze this thing to death, but it won't change the tide, nor will it change the outcome. We were separate, interest groups before 9/11. All of the ideals of the left, energized, all of the right energized. A conservative like me was very happy in that environment. I had my man in the WhiteHouse, and he was doing exactly what he should be doing. The Republican Congress was doing it's job. The ...

Don't you tell me it's time to forget....don't you ever! I, nor will my brothers and countrymen EVER forget. You killed my countrymen, you killed my brothers and sisters. You are cowards! You can't face an armed force that has come to seek justice and retribution for the slaughter of innocent civilians by cowards bent on their own destruction. We can't imagine that kind of insanity. We value life and it's projection. We have values that make our lives mean something. We make better crops to sell (and give) to the world's starving. We go to the corners of the ...

The things I've heard discussed on Fox tonight have a multitude of range, but two stick out in my mind. I am an expert, of sorts, in the area of disease and nuclear weapons. My credentials have always been in medicine, but the growing panic pushes me to exclaim the following: 1) The first deployment of nuclear weapons could be against our own country. If the terrorists infect an area with biological weapon that would sprend throughout the population, we may have to employ a nuclear device to stop the spread of the disease. Let me explain: A Thermo-nuclear warhead, ...

I've been, gladly, out of the loop for a week. I went on my planned vacation. I did feel "different" about it, but I did it anyway. I needed to get away and see the part of this country that I own, a part I've never seen before. We went to a cabin of friends in northern Wisconsin. On a pure, clean, and wonderful fishing lake...ah, yes..my weakness...beauty, and fishing. We stopped to shop, as my lovely lady likes that. I'll never balk at that because she goes fishing with me, and she either puts on a good act, or ...
