http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2492548/posts As posted yesterday, a local radio station is reporting that the con man behind the movement to smear Tea Parties with staged incidents of racism, etc. is a school teacher in the Beaverton School District. It appears he used school time and resources to set up his website. I called the district and was told they are investigating but can't discuss personnel matters. Is there nothing you can do to demand accountability of a state employee?

In an ideal world this reprehensible man would be fired for abusing state resources and time. But, in Oregon, he will probably be given a bonus and elected union boss. Can you imagine this monster has influence over children and he's encouraging people to feign racism and exploit it? i hope there is a special place in Hell for this man.

Nine teens, three of them juveniles, have been charged in connection with the Jan. 14 suicide death of bullying victim Phoebe Prince, with charges ranging from harassment to statutory rape. The announcement from Northwestern District Attorney Elizabeth D. Scheibel was the culmination of a 2 1/2 month criminal probe by investigators. Prince, 15, a recent immigrant from Ireland, was reportedly found hanged in her home after enduring weeks of torment from bullies on Facebook and in the halls of South Hadley High School. The freshman’s death ignited a firestorm in the small western Massachusetts town and demands for school Superintendent...

OK, I don't buy a TON of DVDs when they are released, but I have bought my share of them. I usually buy them the week they are released because they're usually on sale. I've bought lots of the highly-anticipated films like The Dark Knight, Harry Potter etc and I have NEVER seen a DVD sold out. If this is an indication of the popularity of The Blind Side, I think that is pretty cool and bodes well for future movies.......if Hollywood actually cares about what people want to see.

I have never purchased a tabloid magazine, but I couldn't resist buying and reading Andrew Young's expose of John Edwards. I know this is a vanity post, but I just had to share my observations. Of course there are the obvious revelations: 1. John Edwards is a charlatan, con artist, liar, cheat, exploiter or the lowest form, probably a criminal and is as sleazy as they come. 2. Rielle Hunter is a flake. God help the love child of this union -- both her parents are narcissists. What wasn't as obvious to me until I read the book is that:...

Like many mothers from this area, I was astonished and sickened to see the brutal beating on the Belleville school bus that made headlines all over the country. I have no idea if this was racially motivated as I wasn't there and I don't want to fuel that speculation. If someone is beating the snot out of you, it doesn't matter what the motivation is -- it is reprehensible no matter what. But, like many people, I wondered what on earth were the lives and backgrounds of the bullies like that they would behave like this? Monday night, I was...

Sorry for the Vanity, but I figured someone here would have the answer: A caller to my local radio show said there was footage on Morning Joe (Scarborough) of union thugs beating a guy protesting Obamacare and they were laughing about it. Anyone see that or know what he's talking about?

OK, this is clearly a vanity post and not that earth-shattering, but I thought I would share it in light of the recent cap-and-trade news. We are currently in the process of buying a home from some liberal Obama devotees. We don't know them at all, but it is abundantly clear from their bumper stickers, buttons, Obama inaugural pens, books etc. Anyway, in the home inspection process of the negotiations, we discovered that the home has high levels of radon which need to be mitigated. The sellers refuse to pay for this correction which would be, roughly, $900. Now this...

Apparently unions will be exempt from Obama's crazy plan to tax our health benefits to pay for his government health care. How can such blatant favoritism to a political constituency be legal? Aren't we supposed to have equal protection under the law?

SPOKANE, Wash. -- The quest for squeaky-clean dishes has turned some law-abiding people in Spokane into dishwater-detergent smugglers. They are bringing Cascade or Electrasol in from out of state because the eco-friendly varieties required under Washington state law don't work as well. Spokane County became the launch pad last July for the nation's strictest ban on dishwasher detergent made with phosphates, a measure aimed at reducing water pollution. The ban will be expanded statewide in July 2010, the same time similar laws take effect in several other states. But it's not easy to get sparkling dishes when you go green....

Only Louisiana's jobless rate decreased. It fell to 5.1%, 0.4 percentage point lower than the previous month.

BLACKSBURG, Va. - Long before he snapped, Virginia Tech gunman Cho Seung-Hui was picked on, pushed around and laughed at over his shyness and the strange way he talked when he was a schoolboy in the Washington suburbs, former classmates say. Chris Davids, a Virginia Tech senior who graduated from Westfield High School in Chantilly, Va., with Cho in 2003, recalled that the South Korean immigrant almost never opened his mouth and would ignore attempts to strike up a conversation. Once, in English class, the teacher had the students read aloud, and when it was Cho's turn, he just looked...

Not posting here, because this is an academic piece with a copyright. But I encourage everyone to read: Backdraft 9/11

Okay, I know this is a vanity rant and I was prepared to let this issue go but Bill O'Reilly just keeps digging in with his spin in the no spin zone. Today, a caller took him to task for suggesting Shawn Hornbeck didn't escape because he was having fun. BOR shot back, calling the caller a liar and claiming that comment was taken out of context and being exploited by left wing sites. He claims that he was merely pointing out that Hornbeck didn't run when he had the opportunity to and that it was due to Child Sexual...

ROVIDENCE, R.I. - Two days after losing a bid for a second term, Sen. Lincoln Chafee (news, bio, voting record) said he was unsure whether he would remain a Republican. Chafee lost to Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse in a race seen as a referendum on President Bush and the GOP. On Thursday, he was asked whether he would stick with the Republican Party or become an independent or Democrat. "I haven't made any decisions. I just haven't even thought about where my place is,".......

I know it isn't popular, particularly in conservative circles, to excuse behavior by citing mental illness. Bipolar disorder, in particular, has been the excuse celeb cited by child-raping school teachers, so I understand why people may have little patience for the argument I am about to make. That said, after observing Mel Gibson's behavior of late, I can't help but think he must have bipolar disorder and we should try to understand his behavior -- even if it can't be excused. Someone close to me has bipolar disorder and, before it was diagnosed and treated, I saw some of the...

Dear Mr. Hannity, Your cavalier attitude toward the possible removal of our troops from the UAE air base (as discussed on Thursday's show) has finally caused me to lose whatever remaining affection I had for you. It is very easy for you, sitting in your comfortable studio, to respond, “Let em”. You're not the one who has to conduct missions in the Middle East. You're not the one that needs the logistical support. Why don't you tell it to General Tommy Franks? Better yet, why don't you tell it to the men and women that are currently working with the...

Remember when you were a kid and you were all excited about Christmas? Well, democrats were so giddy about the apparently impending indictments of Libby and Rove that they started saying, "Merry Fitzmas". Now, remember when you had your heart set on the one item you wanted for Christmas and you cast aside sweaters, scarves and the like as you seached for the coveted item under the tree? Well, my friends, it is Fitzmas morning and all the democrats got were socks! No charges pertaining to the outing of a CIA agent. No charges against Rove. The best they can...

I have been reading several comments where people have stated that they've already mailed their absentee ballots. I can understand that if you are out of your state, in a body cast etc. However, if you are voting absentee out of convenience, a desire to vote early or because, even though you are in-town now you will be out-of-town on election day, PLEASE DO NOT MAIL YOUR BALLOTS!!!!! With all the reports of voter fraud and missing absentee ballots, we can't afford to take any chances. Either hand-deliver your ballot to your polling station on election day (you won't have...

OK, we shouldn't be surprised by now that Burkett is exposed as a fraud, but I found this contradiction so glaring I can't believe the press hasn't picked up on it: Burkett is claiming that he was given the documents by someone named Lucy Ramirez (or her shadowy courier). From USA Today: "Burkett said he arranged to get the documents during a trip to Houston for a livestock show in March. But instead of being met at the show by Ramirez, he was approached by a man who asked for Burkett, handed him an envelope and quickly left, Burkett recounted."...
