The Titanic of Gay Rights, leaving all in its wake, is about to founder on a large and immovable fact. My concern is not for the glamorous first-class passengers - the prominent doctors and judges - or for the Mardi Gras exhibitionists leering and lurching across the deck - but for the unknown homosexuals down in their lonely cabins feeling sick. These are the ones who want to stop the ship and get off. The homosexuals who do not want to be homosexual but who are told that change is impossible, and that any talk of change is disloyal to the...

It has been recently claimed that America's denial of marriage rights to homosexuals is morally equivalent to and indistinguishable from America's previous denials of civil rights to blacks. It should come as no surprise that the homosexual lobby has launched a campaign to use black America for its pernicious purpose of promoting same-sex "marriage." Blacks have proven time and again to be a useful tool in promoting the sick desires of black leaders, the Democratic Party and the elite white feminist movement (yes, most feminists are upper-class angry white women) – why shouldn't radical homosexuals continue the trend? If we...

Some students at Mississippi State University (MSU) are offended by a "National Gay and Lesbian Pride Month" display in the school's main library. The "Gay and Lesbian Awareness" exhibit at Mitchell Memorial Library contains two rainbow flags and two large glass display cases filled with homosexual magazines. Sponsored by the Holmes Cultural Diversity Center and the MSU Lambda Professionals, the display purports to "dispel with plain facts" the so-called "myths surrounding homosexuality and gay life." Joe Farris, director of University Relations, says the exhibit is not intended to promote homosexuality, but rather to foster "educational awareness" and encourage "the free...

Homosexual activists are fuming over President Bush's refusal to declare June "Gay Pride Month." Nevertheless, without official support, several groups of federal workers are still planning activities. Leonard Hirsch, president of Federal GLOBE — the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Federal Employee’s organization — told the Washington Blade, a homosexual weekly, that events are scheduled at the departments of Transportation, State, Interior and the USDA, while other agencies have said they will not sanction events without White House approval. "We have continued to be boxed in a Catch-22 because agencies are saying that they can't provide support or statements unless the...

Virginia lawmakers' affirmation that marriage is only for one man and one woman has prompted homosexual activists to call for a boycott of the state's companies and tourism. One group, Virginiaisforhaters.org, derives its name from the state's tourism motto, "Virginia is for lovers." The site was started by Jay Porter and his partner David Smith who live in Seattle, reports 365Gay.com. Porter says one company to boycott is clothier J.Crew, which markets across the country but has a customer service and distribution center in Lynchburg, Va. Another group, Make Love Legal, is targeting the state's 400th anniversary celebration in 2007...

Is it hazardous to one’s mental health to change sexual identity from gay to straight? The National Mental Health Association, the nation’s oldest and largest mental health advocacy group made this charge in a recent statement to a gay oriented publication. In a May 28 article by Adrian Brune in the "Washington Blade," Lee Ann Browning-McNee, spokesperson for the NMHA was quoted as saying: “PFOX (Parents & Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays) talks a lot about gay reform, and we think those messages can actually be damaging to someone’s mental health. If you look at statistics of suicide, it’s easy...

Two state supreme courts dealt same-sex marriage a pair of setbacks today, as the Arizona panel refused to hear a case brought by two homosexual men and California justices, in hearing arguments in a San Francisco case, appeared to disapprove of the city's mayor issuing licenses to couples of the same gender. In the Grand Canyon state, the Supreme Court decided not to hear Standhardt v. Arizona, a case brought by two single men who were denied a marriage license. The Arizona Court of Appeals dismissed the suit on Oct. 8, and the homosexuals sought review by the state Supreme...

If a lie is repeated often enough, those who hear it will begin to believe that lie is the truth. Such has become the fate of fair and balanced legal academics. Some have heard for so long that homosexuality and marriage ought to be united, that many refuse to believe anything else, even when biology refutes it, the law negates it, and that statement is exposed as a lie. Many academics and other communicators have indeed closed their minds to both sides of this debate, determining there is no debate. That debate, however, is alive and well in the minds...

Focus on the Family’s Mike Haley recounts his nose-dive into homosexuality and his ensuing spiritual recovery that came about through the help of concerned believers who reached out to him during his lowest hours On Sunday, May 16, Mike Haley, manager of the Gender Division within the Legislative and Cultural Affairs Department at Focus on the Family, addressed the Thomas Road Baptist Church congregation. He underscored his 12-year plunge into homosexuality and the subsequent extensive spiritual recovery that has taken place in his life since he returned to the foundations of his faith in Jesus Christ. While the powerful Hollywood community and influential...

On Sunday, May 16, I invited a young man to speak at Thomas Road Baptist Church because I believe he has a message of healing and hope that needs to be heard by many Americans. However, if we are to listen to the influential mainstream media and Hollywood community, this young man's message is completely illegitimate and without merit. You see, this man, Mike Haley, lived for 12 years in the homosexual community. But he is no longer there. He is living a life of steadfast faith that the homosexual community deplores. But Mike's message is so important I wanted...

Honorable Members, Citizens of Massachusetts: The debate over homosexuality is one of the most contentious and divisive in which our society has ever engaged. On the face of it, one might wonder that so intensely personal and private a matter could achieve such public weight, but wonder aside, it has: In this legislation now under consideration by the state of Massachusetts, all the varying points of that debate come into sharp opposition. As you all know, most keenly, the question before you is not merely one of academic dispute; rather, upon the outcome of your deliberations will depend the foundational...

Of all the arguments against same-sex marriage, the most immediately compelling is that it hurts children. If children have a right to anything, it is to begin life with a mother and father. Death, divorce, abandonment, a single-parent's mistakes – any one of these deprives children of a mother or father. But only same-sex marriage would legally ensure children are deprived from birth of either a mother or a father. Why, then, doesn't a child's right to begin life with a mother and father have any impact on the millions of people who either advocate same-sex marriage or can't make...

The head of a national homosexual organization is vowing to politically "punish," "terrify" and "torture" activists who oppose his organization's agenda on "gay" rights – which he says would give him "endless satisfaction." Matt Foreman, executive director of the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force in Washington, D.C., made the comments in yesterday's edition of Between the Lines, a Detroit area homosexual newsmagazine, the American Family Association of Michigan points out. In addition to declaring his desire for retribution against "local legislators and leaders" who oppose the homosexual agenda, Foreman expressed a goal beyond securing legal same-sex marriage, that is...

We are engaged in the hottest political debate of our time; that is, whether marriage should be redefined to include same-sex couples or other alternatives. Everything from morality, legal benefits, the impact on children, public schools, government and private businesses have been discussed in the media. Incredibly, almost no attention has been focused on the very real threats to our civil and religious liberties. Specifically, the 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status given to thousands of churches, nursing homes, schools, ministries, universities and radio stations may be at risk if an organization "discriminates" against a legally protected status, such as same-sex marriage. What...

They argue that U.S. Supreme Court’s Lawrence ruling has paved the way. The drive for homosexual "rights" is evolving into a larger effort to “expand” marriage to include polygamy in the civil law. Polygamists are citing the U.S. Supreme Court's Lawrence v. Texas(2003) ruling to challenge marriage laws. In Utah, the ban on polygamy came under attack as civil rights attorney Brian Barnard brought a federal lawsuit, Bronson v. Swensen, No. 02:04-CV-0021, on January 12, 2004, against the state based in part on the Supreme Court’s reasoning in Lawrence. Two other attorneys have also referenced Lawrence in defending polygamists. The...

Most taxpayers should be worried when politicians claim that they only want to raise taxes on the so-called rich. First, a question needs to be answered: Does it make economic sense to impose high taxes on high-income earners? After all, raising taxes on upper incomes effectively means raising taxes on economic success. Is that smart economics? In addition, upper income individuals are better able to make the investments that spur entrepreneurship and the economy forward. Hiking taxes on the “rich,” therefore, restrains business start-ups and expansions, job creation, and economic growth. Second, we’ve had some glaring examples over the...

"Married and Gay Couples Not All that Different," proclaimed the headline of a news article portraying homosexual households as remarkably similar to married couples. "We're the couple next door," claimed one partnered homosexual. "We have a dog and a cat. I drive a Volvo. I'm boring."[1] Such down-home portrayals of homosexual couples are meant to provoke the question: Since gay couples really differ only in that both partners are of the same sex, what rational basis exists for denying them full marriage rights? Are homosexual households, as the article suggests, simply another variant of human relationships that should be considered,...

I am still in a state of shock; I have been grieving for days. My son, Jamiel Terry, was paid $5,000 by Out magazine (to appear April 20, 2004, on newsstands) to write a story about being Randall Terry's homosexual son. I pray my following words help other grieving parents and serve as a warning to moms and dads of small children to be unflinchingly and unashamedly diligent to protect their children from predators, and bring a reality check to those exploiting my son. First of all, I love my son. Jamiel is incredibly gifted. He is articulate and handsome....

When California middle school teacher Ron Fanelle was asked by his students if rumors were true that he was homosexual and he had married his longtime male partner, he decided to tell the truth and confirm it all. Ron Fanelle "The kids walked in and there was a buzz about it," Fanelle told the Los Angeles Times. "They said, 'We heard you got married on Valentine's Day; is it true?' I said yes. They asked, 'Was it a man?' I said yes. Then they gave me a standing ovation." The social-studies instructor was asked about the identity of his "spouse,"...
