A forest fire that scorched more than 500 acres and damaged at least three homes in Iosco County has been contained. A forestry official says firefighters were still dealing with hot spots and flare-ups as of yesterday. Firefighters plan to monitor it for several days to make sure it doesn't rekindle during expected dry conditions. Authorities don't know what caused the blaze or its exact starting point.

As I have witnessed the last terror event, this overall picture came to my mind and I am sure a few others of us too.1993 WTC bombed, damage and death but no collapse. Then the bombings in Africa..more damage, collapse and death, effective. 9-11 the colmination of the past 2 "practices". 2004 Madrid trains above ground bombing effective but could there be more? London July 2005, bombing mostly below ground. Somewhat effective but still not "there". Were they trying for the collapse of downtown London?

OMG!!!!!!!!! Was watching the ABC Morning news and caught a segment on Kerry, his "lighter" moments taken by personal camcorders.One shot was of him and Peter Yarrow(of Peter-Paul-Mary) singing "Puff The Magic Dragon". When the words got to puff--Kerry put his fingers to his lips like someone would to describe smoking a joint. But then he quickly stopped and waved off the move. Yes I did see it...that was better then a cup of java.

Now you may think this is weird..but I must know.Where do "vegies" fall on the side of politics and the cost of freedom?The reason I am asking this question is that I live in a small town in Michigan that has a 7th Day Adventist College in it and for the most part they are vegetarian. When it comes to politics and war it seems that they tend to stay away from either. Now I know that this has to do with the religion and all but still....is religion the only reason.Bring on the comments.

Now that there was this fire at BP refinery in Texas, it looks like the gas prices will rise again...no kidding.I say let's have a national NO GAS BUYING DAY and show OPEC who really controls the prices.But alas, there just isn't that type of backbone in the liberal nation of ours to stick a finger in the air and say so.

While watching President and Mrs. Bush shaking hands with the Queen outside the Palace and then waving to the cameras, I was struck with the vision of Jackie Kennedy-ish style of Mrs. Bush.
