I am just past the point of wanting them incarcerated

I think we could learn many things as how to treat treason on the scales we are seeing. Take out the entire family, seize their estate. Homes, accounts, vehicles, jewelry, stocks. Everything they took, plus penalties and interest. The profits they took at the public expense is gone, forever.

And the message is sent so simply that even a liberal can understand. Consequences must be brutal and irreversible

This isn’t the case. We don’t encourage our children to kill other innocent children. We do not celebrate their deaths as long as they took others with them.

If I misspent money at my job, first I get fired and then I go to court. In that order. I will likely spend a good number of my remaining years behind bars and life as I know it, is over. Forever

Truly masterful Science Fiction writing. Couldn’t put the book down. The only book that (imho) eclipsed Heineken, Clark and Asimov is Project:Hail Mary by Andy Weir

We are way behind. China dominated lithium production and crashed the market from 60-85k/ton to less than $10k/ton. No one can afford to process Lithium at this price. China has ~900 companies competing worldwide in a market of ~1100 battery manufacturing companies. What’s worse; China makes the specialized machines these companies all use to make batteries

Most battery energy density is 250-275W/kg. China has been selling (as in production) of 350W/kg batteries for years

They have been educated in colleges WORLDWIDE and now are innovating faster (and with Govt support) where we have been largely competing for a smaller market share

China has skewed the game. They openly steal IT designed worldwide and develop internally to compete internationally

Step 1 is getting rid of the hundreds of thousands of Chinese students in our schools and universities that WE ALL KNOW are required to obtain intelligence to send back to China

People would take “modern tech” (arrow heads at that time) with them as they travelled. The tech of arrow heads never matched the “settled science” of the land bridge.

This was a counter theory 40+ years ago. See it’s getting some traction

It seems the solution needs to be

1). Detect the problem
2). Solve the problem
3). Go to bed and “forget” about the problem
4). Get up and report the room temperatures “discovery” in the morning
5). Explain you just woke up and have no recollection of the “discovery”, and that the situation shouldn’t be in your home in the first place

They gleefully did to me; what I would never voluntarily nor what any amount of money could have forced me to do to them.

Additional weight, just adds complications to health, and shortens life. Helping a motivated person lose weight, so that they can become mobile enough (and wise enough to moderate their diet) to keep it off - is a good thing.

I don't drink hard liquor, but I have been known to drink a beer or two. I limit myself.

But, that same fridge holds an assortment of other soda's (Dr. Pepper, Coke, Sprite, Cactus Cooler, Orange Crush plus the compliment of the Diet variations). Being Texas, there are a lot of Baptist and other non-drinking religions (or those who like me, find it best to refrain). It's just the neighborly thing to do, to respect other people's choices.

Make the offer, and if they decline the beer, then I offer them the menu of other options. Generally, I will drink the same as their choice; this little tradition is meant to build neighborly relationships. We watch out for our neighbors, and this is just a very simply way to build that trust.

I’d encourage a little different approach with China. They have over 300,000 students in OUR colleges, and they aren’t stupid. Asian IQ is averaging 105, a mere 5 points higher than average white US scores - we tend to be more creative.

But, consider the Lithium battery market, of the 2,500 lithium battery companies in the world, China owns over 2,200 of them. While the US batter makers are still trying to exceed ~350 W/kg energy density in the labs; China has 700+ W/kg in PRODUCTION for sale - last year.

When it comes to the robots that make these batteries, China owns 95+% of that market. They didn’t steal that technology, they beat our ass. They send their best over here to get their PhD’s in technology, to steal what they can (yes, we both know that happens) - then they add what they can and beat the shit out of us in the market.

Why? The US and capitalism is Risk adverse; where China’s socialism paradigm isn’t. That’s why they utterly dominate the Lithium battery market and rare earth metals market.

Spent a couple decades in Texas. One of the “neighborly” friendly gestures I learned, was the beer fridge in the garage, and offering a cold beer to a neighbor who was working his yard on a hot weekend.

It used to be that the beer brand didn’t matter, just a ice cold beer was a welcome break on a hot summer afternoon.

Now, offering a neighbor a Bud Lite, would be “fighting words”. No brand recovers from that.

We don’t hate the GOP enough. We know the DNC is our enemy, but we need constant reminding that the GOP is also against We the People.
