Nolte: Two Years Later, Transheuser-Busch’s Bud Light Sales Still Struggle
Breitbart ^ | July 15, 2025 | John Nolte

It’s been more than two years since Anheuser-Busch annihilated its top-selling Bud Light by hiring a transvestite to hype the brand, and the brand has not recovered.

Tee hee.

Dylan Mulvaney, an obvious guy who runs around mocking women by pretending to be the most obnoxious woman on the planet, partnered with Bud Light in early 2023 to hype the brand on social media. The fallout was immediate, brutal, and now we know it might be irreversible.

“Beer sales over the July 4th holiday weekend came in stronger than previously expected,” reports ZeroHedge. “Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI) also posted a solid performance during the period, though one brand under its adult beverage umbrella remained a clear laggard. Unsurprisingly, it was Bud Light, still struggling to recover for reasons that need little explanation.” [emphasis original]

Over the 4th of July weekend, which delivered weather all over the country ideal for beer drinking, “Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI) led all manufacturers, with 52% of distributors reporting higher volumes vs last year [but] Bud Light remains a drag—74% reported lower volumes; marketing support remains weak.”

Over this coming weekend, we can all celebrate the two-year anniversary of Anheuser-Busch CEO Michel Doukeris claiming the fallout from the madness of hiring a dude in womanface who performs the equivalent of a female minstrel show was no big deal…

the brand being hyped was not bud light. the brand being hyped was perversion.

Holding a public flogging of the obnoxious little turd might help. It’ll get millions and millions of views. Oh, throw in that idiot woman who thought that would increase sales. Even more millions of viewers. No one gives a shi...er...an Obama about trannies, just do it with their group, stfu, and let the majority of folks who don’t have mental problems get along with life.

we had the Kids of Schlitz* as a case study in a business course. I’ll bet that gets supplanted by Bud Light in newer textbooks.

* not the exact title, but where the offspring decided to mess with the recipe. Classic Coke also comes to mind.

I switched to Miller Lite, not saying these are good beers but it’s what I like. I’ll never go back!

Treat yourself to a Miller High Life (glass bottle) once in a while!

‘The Champagne of Bottled Beers.’ ;)

I’m not a beer drinker, but I grew up in Milwaukee and all of my Uncles were either Cops, Firemen or worked for Miller Brewing or Pabst. Beer is still very dear to my heart. :)

Never a good marketing plan to piss off a major part of your customer base.

I’m too fratty for their beer anyway.

The choice of a specific beverage by young adults is all about image and very little about taste. Most young men will not order Bud Light or be seen drinking it. BTW, a word of advice to those young men, beware of women who drink tea instead of real coffee.

Target is also still reeling, never to recover.

TGT stock is down 30% since 2015! (Costco +598%, TJMaxx +260%, Walmart +242%)

Go woke, go broke is a fatal disease.

The main issue was always going to be …. Bud light is garbage. Once someone moved on to something else in protest there was about a 99.9 percent chance it was better. Why go back?

That’s the problem with Budweiser. You get loyal drinkers who are offended by your actions so they then make it a point to find another brand and find out that the competition wasn’t bad after all. There’s an old marketing axiom about the cost of attracting customers & then losing them. Suppose the CEO of Miller sent the CEO of Budweiser a thank you card?

Manly men drink Rainier, Longmeyer’s beer. ;-) Nope, never had it, but’ll give a try if I ever see some.
