I didn’t think I could live without the NFL, but after suffering for 30+ years as a Viking fan, something happened once I watched my kids’ Catholic school team win the state championship here in Wisconsin. It was awesome, and the high quality, low-cost product put on by the boys at the school made it really easy to never look back.

My mom’s pussy of a new boyfriend cancelled his Facebook account because he couldn’t “tolerate” the Trump talk, and now gutlessly posts under her name (non-political stuff). If only my dad were alive, Thanksgivings would be so much better.

Hopefully an indictment of Hillary ensues. To paraphrase something Greg Gutfeld said today - Her last week “has been bumpier than Michael Moore’s yoga pants.”

I liked the author’s reference to the flannel-wearers of the 90s, which certainly ushered in a decade of garbage.

Hairbands and metal power brokers disappeared in minutes with the birth of Nirvana and Pearl Jam. Nothing against those bands, but there wasn’t the nearly the complexity or eccentricity of the 80s scene.

Anyway, if I had to pick a band that had an epic fall from grace, it’s Queensryche. Right out of the Maiden mold, but I thought they took it even further. Naturally, they were far-left anti-Americans, but at least they could put together awesome concept albums. After Empire, they were dead to me.

Around 7:00 p.m., my wife and I voted in Eau Claire County (Western WI) that trends 55-45 Democrat. The old ladies working the registration table had no electronic ballots left, and we both observed that there were few men voting.

Big $55 million school referendum (that supposedly is going to crash and burn) is drawing the voters out here, so I have no clue what the outcome will be.

The prevailing sentiment here is that this extension is some kind of loss for us, but I just don't see it that way.

At this point in the game, it's not like we're sitting here slow playing pocket aces. Add it up - we working with a meager 41 senators, 170-some congress critters, and an administration that's openly hostile to the job creation engine. The opposition just basically admitted that tax increases are lethal to any kind of economic recovery, and it's a stunning revelation.

As for the increase in spending for unemployment benefits - what do you think would happen to overall Government spending if taxes were raised and unemployment jumped up another 5 points? Less time they could spend on UI, but more of them. Probably a zero sum game on the spending side.

Obviously the man plays an important role (nationally, I might add) in his current position. Are we best served by having him operate in a known identity as Sheriff? As an out-of-stater, I’d have to believe the answer is yes.

To you Arizonians, has he ever enumerated any of his positions outside of the arena of law enforcement?

Ahh..the paradox of conservatism. Trust your head over your heart without compromising liberty.

What to do? Maybe I’ll recite some Voltaire while curb-stomping them :)

Sitting in rural Wisconsin, I’m not that familiar with the former Lt. Governor from Maryland, but Michael Steele has been an excellent sub on Bennett’s morning program. I’ve found his positions regarding the role of the Federal Government to be very appropriate.

I’m inclined to give him my support, albeit in a very narrow window where I’ve just begun my formulating my opinion. Any feedback from the MD localites?

It may have made for poor politics, but I admired Tom Delay's courage to state that a child tax credit to people that don't pay taxes in the first place is akin to a welfare program. That was blunt honesty, and I hardly find it worth stuffing a sock into.

This tax cut should be the absolute centerpiece of the conservative agenda. 50% of the American population pays 92% of the taxes, and I feel that some of us are at the taxpayer boiling point. Now, if you and I rebel against the progressive tax implementation, we're going to find that only half the population is sympathetic with our cause.

Thus, the liberals have successfully paid off their voters. Half the population, and they pay 8% of the taxes. Thanks to Frist reducing the cut by almost $376 billion and dodging town immediately, we can accuse the Republicans for being complicit in the overtaxation of the American people too.

I'm not really sure if there is a thread linking heavy metal to conservatism. My guess is that what KISS (or more specifically, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons) are showing is simply an indicator of their advanced age. They've built a wildy successful entertainment business on the back of free-market America, and they have the clout to show appreciation without worry about an industry backlash - unlike their less-established heavy metal counterparts.

Mudvayne, Rage Against the Machine, and Pearl Jam are all hard rock bands from a younger generation, and both were vehement in their opposition to not only the war, but President Bush as well. I know Pearl Jam's rants were not well received by the American audience (according to Ann Coulter), but I'd be interested about the political leanings of the metalheads at the other two concerts to help build your thesis of Conservative Metalheads.

However, as conservatives, it should always boil down to facts and logic for making an informed decision. Whether or not a celebrity is with us or against us is only to be used for entertainment purposes!
