The IDF says it has detected preparations by Hezbollah to launch rockets and missiles and is preemptively striking in Lebanon “to remove the threat.”
Fighter jets are striking Hezbollah targets that “posed an imminent threat to the citizens of the State of Israel,” the army says, adding that “life-saving instructions” will be sent out in some parts of the country.
Alarms are meanwhile sounding in several northern communities.

Hezbollah, IIRC, was out with a propaganda video showing their underground tunnel system (big enough for trucks driving through) where they housed missiles.

The IDF and Hezbollah have started exchanging missiles in what looks like the start of a wider war in region. currently is appears as though Hezbollah is firing light unguided missiles in an attempt to exhaust Iron dome batteries.
This is exactly what Iran did the last time. Cheap throwaway drones and missiles for a $3Billion response from the US and Israel and to compromise the Iron Dome, then the ballistics (which nearly ALL got through). God help us all if the Russian operators in Iran start firing their hypersonics at Israel and our ships.
Keep in mind that Lebanon is the home to many Antiochian Orthodox plus Maronite and Melkite Catholic Christians.
