I like Ken, and was proud to vote for him to be governor. But the RINOs will never allow it.
I want Steele!!! he would be great!!!
Steele works for me, too.
We’ll see. If you want Ken to win, then vote for him and leave a comment. They will be sent to the RNC members from your local area. Those are the folks that will vote for the next chairman.
I chose Michael Steele, I really respect him and I think he would do a great job
You know, I’m at the point where I really dont give a crap. Are the Republicans that much different from the Democrats? There are few true Conservatives anywhere in politics. The Republicans wanted amnesty for illegals. The Republicans bailed out the banks. The Republicans have lost the culture war. The GOP is just Pelosi/Reid light. I want a real Conservative Party to take our country back from the Muslim Marxist, George Soros, and the other scum that have bought it out from under us.
I voted for Katon Dawson, the SC Chairman. Dawson clearly is the most successful of the candidates in the running. The worst of the bunch is Anuzis of Michigan. He is an unheralded disaster in that state and couldn’t even benefit in building gains against one of the worst Governors in the country, Granholm. He must have the arrogance of Slick Willard to think shrinking (or killing) the party he chairs should be rewarded with promotion.
I'm supporting Jim because Michael Steele is a closeted liberal Republican. Steele believes Roe v. Wade should be the law of the land. "My desire is that we follow what stare decisis is at this point." (Oct. 29, 2006/NBC's "Meet the Press")
Steele also supports affirmative action, saying "Studies show enormous disparities still exist in education, health care, employment and economic opportunities along racial lines in the United States. I believe programs are still necessary to help close these divides. I support giving people opportunities. Programs must be fair to all Marylanders - of every color - and they should focus on economic empowerment." (Aug. 7, 2006/Baltimore Sun)"

Don't know if that's all true or not, but makes me want to check it out.
Eric cartmannn works for me at this point.

Great point. If a person thinks the RNC would be swayed by such polls, that person still believes McCain is a great conservative.
Steele. He ran an intelligent, but losing, campaign in 2006; people still talk about his commercials. He’d be a great face for the RNC - no sense in losing him as a perennial also-run in MD.
although look at Dean. His campaign totally failed and he imploded on live tv like few others. the dnc did pretty good with him as chairman
Steele is a good cut-and-thrust arguer on the cable shows, but beyond that I’m not convinced he has great qualifications. Not overly enthused about any of them, I’m afraid. I was for Newt Gingrich for the short time he was in the running. Hated his ideas about immigration and Puerto Rico statehood and his weakness for pop guru new agey stuff, but he was key to the Republicans’ successes the most recent time that they had broad credibility and governing success as a conservative party, in Congress at least.
Does Steele want it?
You're not alone.
I don’t have any idea who to support. What I want is a person who fully supports a constitutionally limited government as envisioned by our founding fathers, and a person who believes in defeating democrats as opposed to working with them. I want a person who spends party resources on the election of conservative candidates and on the defeat of liberal candidates as well as the accursed RINOs who have ruined this party. I am not aware of anyone like this at this time.
Blackwell and Dawson are solid conservatives, IMO. Can’t speak for the others. What’s important in this job is the ability to build and rebuild party infrastructure in every county of every state and the ability to raise buku bucks.
