Well, the last news I heard about that is that theyre getting a loan from Russia AND the quid pro quo *may be* that Russia gets to take over our old bases... LOL...
Don’t get me wrong here because I like Gov. Palin a lot, but did I just read that she blamed Bush? I know she said the Bush Administration, but still. How about we blame the campaign? Gov. Palin was the best part of the ticket and they still treat her like garbage after the election, so I think that any loyalty to the McCain advisors would be gone for me.
Exactly. If she knew that she was being filmed, what does she say when she isn’t being filmed? Since the girl remained quiet, I can only imagine that this wasn’t the first time that this had happened.
Every time I think about putting my kids in public school, I am going to watch this video. Barf.
Exactly. Basic algebra is not that hard. It follows specific steps. Once you learn how to do the steps, you just plug in the numbers. I think the problem is that there is nothing “creative” about Algebra. The schools teach all these alternate and confusing ways to solve basic math problems, so the kids can’t do the basic math in the Algebra problem. You throw an unknown in there and it throws them all off.
I buy all of our bread at the bread store. I can get a loaf of bread for $1. They sell the fancy breads for a little more.
I have always been very careful at the grocery store. I have had to increase my food budget over the last few months. I can’t decide if it is because food has gone up or because I am feeding a teenager. I think that it is a toss up.
I had to laugh at this only because my 7th grade son changes everything to decimals. I am not sure why he started doing that, but he says that it makes everything easier. Fractions are easier for me, so I have to convert everything back to make sure that he is doing the problem right.
I agree. I am not sure why the kids need to learn 4 different ways to solve for 4 X 7. It is going to be 28 every single time. Why not just memorize it and be done with it?
