Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said on this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” that Russian President Vladimir Putin seemed “erratic,” adding he had an “ever-deepening, delusional rendering of history.” Rice said, “Vladimir Putin expected an easy win here. He thought he would waltz into the capital, into Kyiv, in his own delusional rendering of history, Ukrainians and Russians are the same, and he would overthrow this government and might even be welcomed as a liberator. And of course, the reality has been something quite different.”

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Republican Party will no longer recognize Liz Cheney as a member of the GOP in its second formal rebuke for her criticism of former President Donald Trump. The 31-29 vote Saturday in Buffalo, Wyoming, by the state party central committee followed votes by local GOP officials in about one-third of Wyoming’s 23 counties to no longer recognize Cheney as a Republican. In February, the Wyoming GOP central committee voted overwhelmingly to censure Cheney, Wyoming’s lone U.S. representative, for voting to impeach Trump for his role in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol....

WASHINGTON (AP) — House Republicans voted overwhelmingly Wednesday to retain Rep. Liz Cheney as their No. 3 leader, rebuffing a rebellion by hard-right conservatives angry after she voted last month to impeach then-President Donald Trump. The secret 145-61 vote came the same day that Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy ridiculed Democrats for slating a House vote Thursday on removing Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia from her committees. McCarthy’s comment was a signal that he was dismissing bipartisan demands that Greene be punished for her promotion online and embrace of racist and violent views and bizarre conspiracy theories.

It seems Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) has ticked off Republicans in her state. The at-large representative voted with Democrats to impeach President Trump following last week's riot at the Capitol. The FBI is only beginning its investigation of last week's riot, but the lack of findings didn't stop Liz Cheney from joining House Democrats to hold the president responsible for the violence.
