CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Republican Party will no longer recognize Liz Cheney as a member of the GOP in its second formal rebuke for her criticism of former President Donald Trump.
The 31-29 vote Saturday in Buffalo, Wyoming, by the state party central committee followed votes by local GOP officials in about one-third of Wyoming’s 23 counties to no longer recognize Cheney as a Republican.
In February, the Wyoming GOP central committee voted overwhelmingly to censure Cheney, Wyoming’s lone U.S. representative, for voting to impeach Trump for his role in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
Cheney has described her vote to impeach Trump as an act of conscience in defense of the Constitution. Trump “incited the mob” and “lit the flame” of that day’s events, Cheney said after the attack.

It’s nice to read good news. Thank you.
Gee, what will Romney, Turtle and the rest of the RINO-NWO muppets gonna do now? s/
I’d like to know Dick’s feelings about what Liz has been doing.
Bush and Cheney are DC elitists, part of the swamp (aka RINO).
Good for the WY Repub party.
31 to 29 - why so close?
My only question would be, why was the vote that close? Does that mean, that nearly half of them are RINOs?
31-29... hardly a resounding repudiation of this RINO scum. Looks like Wyoming has 29 more “Cheney’s” they need to rid themselves of in 2022.
What of the 29 that thought she should still be in the GOP? Wyoming must be a mess. Red state my a$$. Assistant Democrats, to be sure.
I’m guessing that on one hand Dick is cheering it on due to his hatred of Trump, but on the other it pains him to see the Cheney name take such a hit in his home state.
“The People” are working on taking over the GOP machine in many states but it takes time.
Who is this Romney you mention? Do you mean Pierre Delecto?
hahaha I forgot about that. Effing pathetic.
So does that mean they can prevent her from running in the Republican primary? Otherwise this is just the latest in a long line of meaningless gestures on the part of Republicans all over the country.
And the hits keep coming for the fat, nasty slag.
Yeah....harsh words....that’ll leave a mark. /s/
I’ve heard/read that committeeman/women have a lot of say in who gets into the primary but I don’t know how much and it probably varies by State GOP parties.
