A positive sign for the US economy today with the unemployment rate dropping to 13.3 percent last month, an improvement from April's 14.7... The Mayor of Washngton DC, Democrat Muriel Bowser, renaming the plaza near the White House "Black Lives Matter Plaza" with the name "Black Lives Matter" spelled out in large yellow letters on the street there. Her move not looked upon positively by the "Black Lives Matter" organization which said her move was: "a performative distraction from real policy changes" and "a way to appease white liberals while ignoring our demands"...... I was close to beginning this article by saying only in New York. Sadly, that’s not true. There are a number of states today with some truly horrible gun laws and attitudes toward Second Amendment rights. But the Empire State is still right up near the top of that list and this story won’t do much to improve our reputation.
