This movement has almost a half-million followers and we all understand the power of social media. I've been following the comments and it appears the blame is being split evenly between Democrats and Republicans however few are blaming Obama.

President Obama, in his weekly address to the country, said that getting the budget accepted would not come without a fight. And that there are strong lobbyist groups that will fight him on this. But he was elected to look out for the people. Finally the fighting words to the lobbyists: "Bring it On!" Obama is acting like a schoolyard bully on this one, and it is particularly galling. He already has the votes! The lobbyists will not be able to stop any of it. Even if they peel away a few Democrats, the edge is overwhelming to pass this....

Assembly Democrats moved quickly to force a vote on a bill that would have levied new taxes on oil companies to raise money for education; however, as expected, the bill was killed on the Assembly floor without any Republican support. The bill, AB3X9 by Assembly Speaker Fabian Núñez, was dismissed as a political stunt by Republicans, who say Democrats are more interested in embarrassing Assembly Republicans than actually solving the state’s budget problems. “It’s bad political theater masquerading as responsible tax policy,” said Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, RIrvine, the ranking Republican on the Assembly Revenue and Taxation Committee. “It’s actually bad...

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Two days after the Democrats took at drubbing at the polls across the country, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger referred to leaders of the state's majority party as "losers." At a Thursday news conference, the Republican governor who branded Democrats "girlie men" during a budget fight last year was asked whether he would listen to tax-increase proposals from Senate President Pro Tem Don Perata or other Democratic leaders. "Why would I listen to losers?" Schwarzenegger asked. "Let's be honest." As soon as he made that remark, however, he tried to suggest he was referring not to Democrats themselves,...

SACRAMENTO (AP) - Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's sky-high popularity dropped as division deepened over a budget stalemate dominated by partisan politics, according to a poll released Thursday. Schwarzenegger, who enjoyed near-record performance ratings two months ago, received approval from 57 percent of Californians in a survey from the Public Policy Institute - a fall of 7 percentage points since the group's poll in taken in May. While his approval numbers remained high, the survey found most of the drop came among Democrats and independent voters - two groups that had been most enthusiastic about Schwarzenegger's efforts to remain above the partisan...
