African-American participation in baseball is on the decline. This isn't a new development. Over the past couple years, a number of black athletes have addressed the issue.This isn't just an issue for other black players, it's becoming an issue for black fans, according to comedian Chris Rock. Did anyone see the episode yesterday on the soccer racists in Europe? Bryant Gumble called these 'nuts' rightwingers at least a half a dozen times. They showed black soccer players being pelted with bannanas and Gumble said these were rightwing fanatics. They showed a section of the crowd waving the Nazi flag and Gumble said they were rightwing fanatics. I emailed HBO and told them I cancelled their channel. If anyone is a racist it is Gumble, he always makes terrible comments after a segment featuring a white athlete.
