    haaretz ^ | 3/17/10 | Barak Ravid,
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's brother-in-law Dr. Hagai Ben-Artzi on Wednesday called U.S. President Barack Obama an anti-Semite in an interview with Army Radio. "It's not that Obama doesn't like Bibi," he referring to Netanyahu using his nickname. "He doesn't like the nation of Israel." Netanyahu was quick to distance himself from Ben-Artzi's remarks, saying he completely disagrees with his brother-in-law. Netanyahu said he has a deep appreciation for President Obama's commitment to Israel's security, which he has expressed many times, and also for the deep ties between the two countries.

Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin has hushed up a series of scandals including her own brother-in-law's shocking criminal past! After the Alaska governor was named John McCain's running mate, she disclosed her husband Todd had been arrested for drunk driving in 1986 - but not that his brother James Palin was involved in a devastating hit-and-run that inflicted multiple injuries on a female pedestrian. Court papers obtained by The ENQUIRER show that James Palin, Sarah's brother-in-law, was busted as a 20-year-old on Feb. 15, 1989, in his Dillingham, Alaska, hometown - after a major drinking binge. According to official records:...

Since when isn't it a good trait to try to get a State employee dismissed (regardless of personal relationship) who has proven himself to be a danger to others? Let the Dems burn their money on this one ..I would like her even more for protecting her State from the likes of a guy like that. Either way McCain and Palin have my vote.

On FoxNews, I thought I caught the tail end of the "brother-in-law-gate" scandal with Palin in Alaska. I thought I heard them mention that her brother-in-law had threatened to shoot someone, and that was why her people wanted him fired. Is that true?
  • Briatta, McMahon's dealings have roles in Big Picture ( Chicago Mayor Daley family "sadness" )

Before his recent fall from grace, John Briatta, the mayor's brother's brother-in-law, served as secretary of the Laborers' Annuity and Benefit Fund of Chicago. That's the pension board that oversees retirement benefits for about 9,500 city workers and retirees, most of them from the Department of Streets and Sanitation. In carrying out that responsibility, the board also has control over the investment of $1.7 billion in assets. And if you've lost track, this is the same John Briatta who was fired from his $94,000 city water department job last summer in an alleged payroll scam -- who then last week...

UNITED NATIONS - The brother-in-law of Syria's president was implicated in the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, and Lebanese intelligence officials helped organize it, according to a U.N. inquiry officially linking Damascus to the slaying for the first time. The report into the Feb. 14 car bomb that killed the popular opposition leader and 20 others stopped short of directly blaming Syrian President Bashar Assad or his inner circle. But it accused the regime of failing to cooperate in the inquiry and alleged that Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa lied in a letter to investigators. It also...

Some of the guys and I are presently at the camping lodge and we’ve got a problem that requires the help of a sensible woman. My brother-in-law managed to get something in his hair this morning, and he wanted to wash it out. I can’t tell you what that something was, because he’s refused to divulge that to us thus far (I suspect that he fabricated the “tainted hair” theory to save himself some embarrassment.) My brother-in-law believes that his wife has, at some point, told him that peanut butter is a useful household hair cleaner / conditioner. His wife...

Power shift is reported in North Korea The brother-in-law of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il no longer plays a key role in the communist regime's top ranks, a senior government official and North Korea experts in Seoul said yesterday. Jang Song-thaek, 58, whose most recent post was the first vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party, was regarded as the second most powerful figure in North Korea's ruling party. The committee groups North Korea's power elite, and Mr. Jang was a policymaker on economic and personnel affairs at the highest level of government. Accompanying Mr. Kim...
