BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — A south Florida man was arrested after allegedly leading police on a multi-county chase in a stolen fire truck on Thursday. Miami Fire Rescue crews were conducting a training exercise in North Miami Beach at around 6:30 p.m. when one of their trucks drove off. CHICAGO (CBS) – A man is charged after claiming to have a bomb in his bag at O'Hare Airport Friday, according to CPD director of communications Tom Ahern. Gilberto Killingbeck, 72, of Boynton Beach, Florida was arrested in Terminal 1 of the airport after jokingly telling TSA that there was a bomb in his bag. The Chicago Police Bomb and Arson detectives investigated and found no explosives in his bag. Killingbeck has been charged with one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct for the incident.

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – A South Florida man was arrested Monday after he attacked his mother who refused to dress his mannequin, beating her with a kitchen stool and shoving dumplings into her mouth, deputies said. Mikkel Dankner, 40, of Boynton Beach, faces charges of aggravated battery on a victim 65 or older and domestic battery by strangulation. According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office probable cause affidavit, Dankner and his mother were in their backyard when he asked her to dress his mannequin. Florida police have arrested a man after finding more than two dozen pipe bombs, including some that contained nails, screws and metal pellets. Police had been called after an explosion and found several bombs near a street and others in a trash bin. After officers identified Haasze as a suspect, he approached officers and surrendered. The 34-year-old told them he made the bombs for celebrations and to remove tree stumps and that he never intended to hurt anyone.

After arresting a young black man last night in Sara Sims Park, two white Boynton Beach Police officers faced down an angry crowd threatening violence.
