Goderich's statement fails to explain why the "fact checking error" persisted for sixteen years, through at least three different versions of Jane Dystel's website, and through at least four different versions of Obama's biography. 

HONOLULU (BNO NEWS) -- President Barack Obama and his family will be returning to the island of Hawaii to spend Christmas, according to a news report on early Saturday. The Honolulu-based Star-Advertiser reported, citing three unidentified sources, that Obama would return to Hawaii in December. It would be Obama's third year on Hawaii in a row during Christmas. Last year, the First Family spent 11 days at their vacation home in Kailua. The Star-Advertiser did not report how long Obama would stay this year. Obama was born in Hawaii.
