Air America, the liberal alternative to so-called "right wing radio," is "gaining traction" in key markets, a recent report in the Wall Street Journal claimed. But according to a Jan. 17 report in Mediaweek, the network headlined by Al Franken, Janeane Garofalo and Randi Rhodes is actually losing listeners in its home base of New York City.
