FROM Honey Ryder to Pussy Galore, Bond girls are as iconic as 007 himself - and Britt Ekland remains a fan favourite. Now the Swedish star is back in the news after admitting she "destroyed her looks" with lip fillers in her 50s. Britt, now 78, starred as Mary Goodnight in The Man With the Golden Gun, opposite Roger Moore and went on to a career that spanned five decades, as well as a string of high profile romances. Anthony Horowitz Authorized Bond novel is to be published on September 8th. The book is supposed incorporate unpublished Ian Fleming material. My guess is the material from Fleming's scrapbook. The Hardcopy and the Trade LP Paperback is already for sale on Amazon.

Earlier in the month, UK newspaper The Daily Mirror claimed Thandie Newton had screentested for a Bond girl role for the forthcoming film Casino Royale. Several sources later confirmed that Newton had been tested opposite Daniel Craig, the new James Bond 007. Today, rival newspaper The Sun claims she has been cast as Vesper Lynd in the movie, which is scheduled to open in theatres November 17th 2006.
