The preliminary hearing for undercover journalist David Daleiden continued Thursday with a witness for the abortion industry admitting that the Center for Medical Progress videos were “not altered.” Daleiden and Sandra Merritt face 15 felony charges for invasion of privacy because they exposed the Planned Parenthood abortion chain’s gruesome baby body parts trade. Tuesday began a nine-day preliminary hearing about whether the case should go to trial, Courthouse News reports. During the third day of the hearing in California court, the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) reported on the testimony of witness Doe 9, who was granted anonymity by the...

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton isn't objecting to the possible placement of Syrian refugees in his state as long as they undergo rigorous screening first. Dayton released a statement Monday saying he's been assured by the White House that any refugees from the war-torn country would be "subject to the highest level of security checks of any category of traveler to the United States."

Democratic New York City mayor Bill de Blasio launched a disgusting attack on the New York Police Department officers that symbolically turned their backs on him before a press conference to address the shooting deaths of officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu. Ramos and Liu were gunned down in cold blood, execution-style, by Ismaaiyl Brinsley, 28, as retribution for the recent deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. de Blasio infamously encouraged protests against his own police department in the aftermath of the grand jury’s decision not to indict the officers in the Garner case. “Mayor de Blasio, the blood...

On a day when hundreds remembered six people killed in a fire many believe was set in retaliation for a mother's stand against drug dealers, politicians scrambled for ways to address Baltimore's crime problems and the failures of the state's criminal justice system. At an afternoon news conference, Mayor Martin O'Malley outlined a plan calling for enlisting 100 state troopers to help city police, increasing jail and prison capacity by sending some inmates out of state, and finding more volunteers to mentor city children. Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend asked Gov. Parris N. Glendening to lift a hiring freeze on...
